My Summary
About Me
My name is Phoebe and I work in a local children’s nursery. It has excellent facilities, including a forest school and training opportunities so I am great at ensuring children are met with the right skills and needs to progress in their lives. I work with an age range of children from 0-5 and it is very rewarding nurturing them and seeing them grow. I hold a level 3 childcare qualification, a DBS, food hygiene and first aid certificates.
I have a primary teaching qualification and worked in schools before changing career to be in a nursery. I loved working in schools and loved engaging the children and helping them to learn and thrive in a happy environment. I also provide tutoring services on the weekend should children require it. I also have extensive experience with working with children with special needs and have recently done some training in Austria for children with aggression and how to support them and have them play safely.
I have always been around children, as I have 2 younger sisters and looked after my cousins a lot when I was younger. Prior to university I volunteered in a local Brownie pack for 10 years where I organised and led activities, before I had to leave to further my education. I have a full, clean driving license, having driven confidently for nearly 9 years.
I am a confident person, with an outgoing and bubbly personality. I enjoy going outside for walks with my dogs, reading and doing arts and crafts with friends children. I also like exploring the countryside with my partner, going on long walks and to music and food festivals.
If you would like to contact me please feel free! I will respond as quick as I can.
My Experience
I have worked in a number of childcare settings, ranging from a private day nurseries to a village pre-schools and a local primary schools. More recently I have had more experience in a number of different primary schools, working with children from 4 to 11 some with SEN. Now working again in a private day nursery with a forest school, I look after children age 0-5. I was a leader in a Brownie Pack from the ages of 12-18, becoming qualified when I was 18. I then volunteered at another pack 2 years ago, regaining my passion for being a brownie leader.
