About Me
Hello, my name is Sammy, I am 39 years old & I have been an Ofsted registered Childminder since early 2017.
I live in Sidcup with my partner and our son.
We live on a lovely quiet road & are based almost midway between Sidcup Station & New Eltham station. Sidcup high street is just a short walk away & we also have children's parks locally.
I have a dedicated play room, although we do also use the lounge & outside spaces lots too, we have lots of toys & books for children of all ages to enjoy. I have a lovely large back garden with sand & water tables, ride ons, a slide & see saw, I also get the ball pit outside in nice weather. As of summer 2020 I also have an allotment which I am currently spending most of my free time clearing & tending, this will, in the next year or so have a dedicated childrens area where they can grow their own vegetables & explore mini beasts. The children also have the opportunity to help me water & tend to the rest of the allotment & take home grown produce home.
We enjoy going out and doing fun activities, we attend local toddler groups, we enjoy going to the local parks, going for walks & soft play. We also enjoy drawing, chalking in the garden, sing-a-longs, reading & dancing.
I am always open to suggestions regarding activities & if your child currently attends a group that you would like them to continue to visit do let me know & I will do my best to factor this in to our weekly schedules.
My Experience
Whilst on maternity leave with my son I studied to become a Childminder, my own Mum was a childminder for over 20 years as I was growing up so I've been surrounded by children of all ages for most of my life & I always knew that when I had my own children I would also Childmind.
I'm a Mum to a wonderful little boy who is now attending school, this has given me a great deal of experience with newborns & the development & milestones of young children, my experience growing up with a Childminding Mum & having my own little boy has helped me feel like I am able to care for other children, create a warm & inviting environment for them to thrive, learn & develop to their full potential.
I have enjoyed creating a safe, stimulating environment for my little boy filled with lots of fun things to play with & we love to share it with other children.
I provide healthy home cooked meals, which are balanced & nutritious & I will encourage healthy eating.
Being a parent I understand how important it is to work closely with parents to build a great relationship & create a home from home experience for children. The children that attend my setting become part of our extended family & are treated exactly the same as my own son.
My Qualifications
CACHE level 3 Diploma in Preparing To Work In Home Based Childcare.
Paediatric First Aid Training.
Paediatric Anaphylaxis Training
Delivering the EYFS
Up to date DBS checks for myself & my partner.
I am a member of PACEY & continue to develop my career through training & gaining additional qualifications.
My Availability
** I CURRENTLY HAVE NO VACANCIES**
Monday - Friday, full-time, part-time & school runs.
My standard day is 10 hours but I am able to offer longer hours if necessary.
I drop off and pick up from Longlands Primary School.
Local preschool drop offs & collections may be available if the timings work for my setting.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
My daily rate is £65
Before and After school pickup rate is £20 per day for up to 4 hours**
All rates include full childcare, lunch where applicable, snacks, Public Liability insurance, travel & the cost of most outings.
*My daily rate covers a 10 hour day if you require longer hours on a regular basis rates can be discussed.
**If longer than 4 hours is needed for before and after school pickup rates can be discussed.
Sibling discounts can be discussed.
All Fees are negotiable depending on individual circumstances, please feel free to contact me to discuss.
