Fantastic childminder

My daughter has been with Philippa since early 2023 and has come on leaps and bounds.

She settled in well and made strong bonds with the other children in Philippa's care as well as Philippa herself. My daughter talks highly of Philippa and often recalls all the fun things she's done whilst there.

The communication is strong, and I formed a bond with Philippa which made the whole process of having a childminder easier, I would get updates/pictures of what went on throughout the days.

I highly recommend Philippa as a childminder. She truly cares about the children in her care and has such a homely feel to her environment. My child has blossomed throughout her time, and this is down to the care and development opportunities she has been given.

Amazing childminder

Philippa looks after 2 of my children and we couldn’t be happier with the service she provides. My 3 year old has come on leaps and bounds since starting with Philippa in February 2024, his speech has hugely improved and he has learnt so much in a short amount of time. Both of my children (6 & 3) love going to Philippa and have never had any concerns of being under her care. She has a very warm, welcoming setting and provides excellent structure and routines for the children. Her daily activities are well planned and organised but also are varied so they are learning new things at good pace and she is preparing my 3 year old well for preschool. She provides healthy meals and is very accommodating to additional needs with dietary requirements and will go the extra mile for children that need it.
She keeps us updated each day with what the children have done, including any photos she had taken which is really reassuring to see how happy my children are with her.
I would highly recommend Philippa to anyone looking for a childminder.

Outstanding childcare. Our kids love Pip.

We have been with Pip from when she started childminding and she has been incredible throughout. Pip is kind, caring, considerate and keeps the kids that she looks after in line, with a fair approach.

She has taken our 2 kids (a girl and a boy, now 7&9) to school and picked them up for the last couple of years. Our kids trust her, & we trust her. The kids have fun, are safe and active, do loads of activities & feel like part of the family.

Her home is like a 2nd home, her kids have become friends with our kids and they eat healthy & varied meals at her table like they would at ours. Our kids love that they get to choose their favourite Pip meals on a rota - for mine, it's either her spaghetti spiders or tuna pesto bake.

On top of all of this, Pip has made an amazing effort over Covid to make her setting safe, whilst providing clear communication to parents, whether key worker or not.

Very positive

Philippa helped us out just one day a week but I have to say we were very impressed by the service provided. Communication was very good and it was clear from photographs there was a really good range of activities. In covid times we were only able to enter the setting once but it was clearly very clean and well organised. I have given the food five stars based on the variety shown in the meal rotation in the welcome pack.

Like part of our family!!

Phillipa has looked after my daughter for well over 2 years, I honestly have to say she is just fabulous and my daughter absolutely loves her.

Phillipa clearly has a passion for childcare, every single day she has planned activities and outings for the children. My daughter learnt to walk and talk during her time with Phillipa, and her encouragement and interest in her development is wonderful to see! My DD has also developed numeracy, reading skills, manners, social skills and her son even taught her how to use the ‘big girl swing’!

Phillipa is also really accommodating and flexible where she can be, I would certainly recommend her over a nursery environment. We are desperately sad that my DD is now off to preschool and has to leave her wonderful caring household, I really hope that we get the chance to send our second child to Phillipa in the coming years.

I honestly cannot recommend her enough!

Brilliant

Philippa looked after my daughter since she was 9 months old. I couldn't find a better chilminder. She has a great setting for children, always organising great activities and great meals for them. She is very sweet and very good in teaching children respect and good behaviour. My daughter Matilda has certainly learned a lot from Philippa. Highly recommended!
