Welcome to Fun Explorers Childcare setting.
My name is Ilona and I'm offering your child an Enjoyable, Educational, and Unforgettable growing experience.
I’m a positive, flexible, honest, enthusiastic, and very hard-working person with responsibility skills. I can connect to children easily and communicate with their parents in a working partnership.
The setting is centrally located within walking distance to a library, Richmond Park, playgrounds, playgroups, schools, children's centers, Kingston train, and Bus stations.
I have a small group of children here each day. Here your child has plenty of friends to play with and it is not overwhelming. Two lovely, very professional assistants help me with children every day.
I offer a safe and secure home-from-home setting, educational and stimulating, where your child can learn through play. All children are treated as part of the family and as are result I see them very happy to come in every day.
Each day I fill in a diary of things we have done so you can see exactly what your child has been doing, what they have eaten, when they have slept, indoor and outdoor activities, music dancing, and all other classes they had. With your permission, I will also take photos of activities and put them in the child's progress and development journal. As an experienced Nursery Room Leader, I'm passionate about assisting children to become the best they can be.
I'm fluent in Russian and Lithuanian and can teach your child a second language, and help to settle children who are English, not a first language.
My Experience
I have more than 20 years of experience working with children aged 0-5, providing good health care, and organizing different activities that help children develop in all seven areas according to EYFS.
I have 25 years of experience with children of different ages, organizing different activities and games, which help them to learn new things through play, taking childcare in summer clubs and after-school clubs

My daughter thoroughly enjoyed attending Ilona's place for 3.5 years until her 'graduation' as she entered Reception. I was always confident that she was well taken care of and loved. It has been like a second home for her, and we are very grateful for all the efforts made by Ilona and her team.

Illona and her team have looked after our little boy since he was 7 months old and now he’s coming up 3. They’ve been such an amazing support and help to us and our boy absolutely loves it there! It’s such a warm, happy environment where children are supported to learn, play and develop. We’re so grateful for all they’ve done and honestly can’t imagine life without them. Illona is so organised and responsive to any queries we have. It’s such a delight getting his progress report each term to see all the varied activities he’s been up to. Could not recommend them highly enough.

Ilona and the team are truly outstanding. My little boy is very attached to me and I was worried him starting childminders full-time. He settled in so quickly and is very happy every time he goes to childminders. He doesn't event look at me when I drop him and just wants to go inside. All ladies are truly amazing and professional. I love the daily reports we receive. We also notice how well our little boy develops and learns new things there. I cannot recommend Ilona and her team highly enough and I'm truly grateful for them looking after our son so well.

Finding childcare was a huge stress for us. The second we meant Ilona and saw her incredible setting we knew we’d found the right place for our daughter! We weren’t wrong. Our daughter has been at Ilona’s since she was 11m (now 2!) she literally adores Ilona, Natalija & Olah - and talks about them and her friends all the time. Her development has also been amazing thanks to the brilliant learning Ilona provides. We couldn’t be happier, nor could our daughter!

Our daughter has been with Ilona and her team since she was 7 months old (she is now 2) and is absolutely delighted when the door opens each morning and she can run inside to play. The variety of activities is excellent, food is home cooked, the children are taught to be kind to each other, and crucially the atmosphere is happy and loving. It is such a relief to know she is so well looked-after each day. Thank you Ilona! ❤️
