I am 29 and live with my boyfriend in Kingston Park along with our small dog.
I love being in the company of children, I have a real passion of giving the best care and teaching children new things. I would be happy to join in with activities such as painting, baking cakes, trips to parks, playing board games, helping with homework, joining in with role play activities etc
I currently provide childcare for several families (aged between 7 months and 8 years old) but it's only occasional so I have plenty of availability. This includes going out for the day, preparing meals and night time routine.
I am a non smoker, have a drivers licence and I am fine with pets (own a dog).
I am also available full time during school holidays (including 6 weeks holidays)
My Experience
- I have a BA Degree in Early Childhood Studies
- I have 8 years experience working with children between the ages of 6 months - 11 years old in different childcare settings e.g. Primary Schools/Private Daycare Nurseries
- I also have experience working with children diagnosed with Autism, I have a certificate for Makaton and I am currently in the middle of doing an Autism Awareness Diploma Course.
- I have a Babies and Children First Aid Certificate Achieved In March 2014
- I have a recent CRB check
- I have worked as a Nursery Nurse working in the 2 year old room at Kids 1st Private Daycare. I worked there for nearly 2 years. The reason I left was to pursue a career in a Primary School (preferably special needs)
- I then joined an Educational Agency working as a Supply Teaching Assistant for various schools. One of the placements was in a Primary School in Reception working one to one with a child with Autism which lasted 5 months.
- I am now currently working as a full time Teaching Assistant in a Special Needs Primary School. The school has children that are mostly on the autistic spectrum. I can still provide childcare on occasional evenings/weekends and I am flexible during school holidays.

Sarah has taken care of my child on many occasions now and I can't fault her one bit. He always comes back happy and tells me of how much fun he's had or what they've been doing. She is very responsible and has always asked if there has been change in his health that she may need to look out for while he is in her care like a cold etc or any dietary needs.
She very much prides herself in her work is reliable and has great communication skills with children.
