My Requirements
We are Dan (me) and Liz, parents to Alex, 8
We are looking for an in person tutor with KS2 & sen experience
We are looking for someone to come once (maybe twice) per week for 1 hour, Wednesday or Thursday after school.
He has dysgraphia which limits his writing ability and markers of adhd.
We would like someone to help with guiding Alex through homework
Help with homework/test procedure (e.g. maths - show working, go through it after he answers to check it makes sense, capitals/full stops/legible writing/uplevelling etc for english)
Homework should take between 5 and 25 minutes but usually takes 25-60+
We would like the extra time to be spent;
Playing games for memory improvement (memory
card game, what's missing from tray, I went shopping and bought...)
Help with self regulation when getting agitated, angry, feeling of shouting out
Any other ideas you may have once you have met him
Reading to you for 5-10 min (slow down & follow the punctuation, speak more clearly)
Anything on curriculum that he is struggling with
