About Me
Dear parents and Carers,
My name is Sarah and I'm 39 years of age and I'm currently offering a childminding service from my home in Fulham where i live with my 3 year old son and my partner.
I have been working with children for over 20 years, childminding is my latest venture due to becoming a mummy, now that my son has started nursery I want to offer my experience and services to other families by providing a safe, secure, fun loving learning environment where children develop and thrive at their own level.
I offer Monday- Friday care
Full day 8am-6pm
Half days 8am-1pm or 1pm-6pm
On Occasion for my existing clients I do weekend and overnight care if needed.
I work in accordance the Early Years Framework (EYFS) and plan my activities, themes, topics and daily outings around that, I'm also very keen on taking on board children's interests and likes and building daily activities around those as well to encourage free thinking and learning through play.
I have great access to local parks all in walking distance where I take the boys that i currently look after to, we like to take our child lead and adult lead activities outdoors in the Summer months, we spend the day outside weather permitting.
Morning time is where I usually take the boys out for two hours or more and then in the afternoons we have more structure activities and learning that are age appropriate for each individual child & a shorter period of outdoor play.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks are provided on a basic healthy well balanced menu or alternatively my existing clients buy organic fresh homemade meals prepared by a private chef and all health and nutrition needs are met to a high standard.
Where possible we are a chemical free household i don't use any aerosol or harsh chemical products.
I make up my own natural products and use hot soap and water to clean.
Antibacterial products are used when needed.
I currently attend a local group called palace explores which runs on Tuesday mornings term time only there is an extra charge for that and any other outings that are planned for the children.
Nappies, creams and wipes aren't provided.
I am reliable, hardworking, motivated enthusiastic person who uses my knowledge, skill and professional competence to provide good quality family centre care for children and families by working in partnership with parents to achieve this.
My Experience
I have been working as a qualified childcare professional for over 20 years in various roles as a nursery nurse where I worked with 3 months- 5years became the baby room leader where i managed a small team of people and ensure high standards of care and development were provided.
Paediatric Nurse where I worked with children from birth to 18years in a medical, surgical and community capacity which including working with children with complex learning needs and disabilities.
High network nanny which involve a mixture of sole, shared and proxy parenting care. Children's ages range from 4 years to 15years and 18 months to 7 years.
I became a mum myself in 2016 and wanted to be able to share my knowledge and experience with other parents and also be able to look after my son so I became an ofsted registered childminder.

Sarah Cash looked after my son from the age of 13 months to 4 1/2 years. During that time, there was not a single day when the service provided by Sarah was anything below faultless. She cared for and nurtured my son to meet his needs and interests, while also doing the same for the others in her care. She has the magical ability to be firm but loving and gentle with the children, which they respond to so so well - she has the best behaved little people at the park!!
Sarah’s communication is fantastic. Having experienced what the communication is like at a nursery, pre-school and with other childcare providers I can honestly say that hers is far superior to anything else I’ve experienced. She gives a daily report at about lunchtime and another verbal report at pick up.
Sarah will stick to whatever routine or parenting style you advise - always. She understands the importance of consistency for children and will use your timings, your language and your preferred approach, as requested. I personally let her apply her own style because she has such a kind, gentle, child led approach that I had absolute confidence we would make similar choices.
Her activities with the children are widely varied and always age appropriate. The children spend approx 3-4 hours outdoors each day during their awake windows, so they are definitely getting the benefit of time outside all year round.
At every age and stage, she tailors the activities to ensure the children are encouraged to achieve their potential. The children under her care at the same time as my son were all exceeding the milestones for their age by quite some margin - but she was always led by the children and never pushed them to learn.
If you have any parental or developmental concerns, Sarah is also an amazing sounding board and fountain of knowledge!! She actually makes navigating parenting so much easier by supporting through things like potty training.
Her house is always immaculate. At one stage we shared the same cleaner and the cleaner said there was no point in her going to Sarah’s house because it was always so spotless! She disinfects all the toys every night, so in a pandemic ridden world it’s one place you can be fairly sure is safe for your most precious people!
The food and snacks provided at Sarah’s house are outstanding. Varied fresh fruit for snacks usually and lots of exciting dishes with plenty of veg!
If your child has any nutritional needs, Sarah is a bit of an expert. Her own son had quite severe food allergies and she’s a paediatric nurse by background, so she knows how to manage even severe allergies.
