About Me
I am an Ofsted registered childminder with extensive SEND and EAL training and experience. I worked in a special school for fifteen years before becoming a childminder and have a SEND grandchild. I have four adult children and six grandchildren.
My Experience
In my fifteen years of being a teacher in a special school, I specialised in Autism and behaviour but have experience of all moderate, severe and profound and multiple learning difficulties. I have been working as a home-based childminder for nine years. I use both Makaton sign language and PECs within my setting with all children. I have a purpose built play cabin in my garden and an extensive range of resources. I belong to a local group called Church Langley Registered Childminders and we regularly meet up to extend the children’s social interaction. We have our own group meeting where we undertake themed activities and also meet up in local places. I also regularly attend local toddler groups and have day trips out and about, usually with some of the other childminders.
My Qualifications
Learning degree. Makaton sign language level 2. PECs trained. Trampolining coach level 2.

I am currently full but may have some availability from September 2019
