About Me
My name is Sarah, I am an Ofsted registered childminder, and I am the owner of Making Memories Childcare, which is based in Blackburn, Lancashire.
I am married to Kevin who is registered as my assistant. We have 3 children who’s ages are 19, 15 and 8, we also have 2 dogs a goldendoodle and a cockerpoo. We live on the Fernhurst farm estate; we have a lovely stimulating play room, which is full of exciting toys to play with for different age ranges, lots of child initiated and adult led activities. We have a lovely garden for the children and lots of outdoor toys.
For those children who still have sleeps we have a quite area where we can monitor them whilst sleeping.
Kevin and I have been married for 19 years and pride ourselves on having a stable and loving marriage.
We are very family orientated and spend lots of fun time together, doing art and crafts, baking, outing, we would love your little one to come and join our fun.
My Experience
We have raised 3 of my own children and looked after my nephews’ and my fiends children over the years. We both have a Diploma in Children’s Learning and Development We understand how hard it is leaving your child; we love nothing better than giving all our minded children the best possible start in life whilst having adventures, excitement and lots of fun.

Making Memories is the most amazing setting that you could ever send your child to. They carry out different daily / weekly activities to engage and involve the children in alsorts of themes and events, teaching them all about the world. Messy play, outside play, taken off the setting to run amok in playgrounds all over, which you'd rarely get anywhere else. All this can be seen on an app with photos, what they are up to, what they're eating that day - it's fab when you're at work and want to check in.
My son has been attending for over 3 years and loves every minute of it. We had a particularly rough spell where he would go in be upset all day and not participate in anything, for a reason that we struggled to find and this went on for months, but Sarah & Kev tried everything to change this and make him happy again; doing research, trying different things to coax him out of it and I'm sure that had he been anywhere else, he would not have had this level of care and attention. He's learnt and grown so much in his time there and thanks to Making Memories, he is now more than ready to start school in September.
They truly are amazing and are a home from home for anyone's child. I'd never hesitate in recommending them to anyone. Thank you Sarah, Kev & Abbie now too!

I cannot rate this childminder enough. Sarah and Kev are absolutely fantastic they do so much with the children from painting, playing out the garden, crafts, baking and they are always out at the park it's great. My partner and I have seen our son come on leaps and bounds since he started and he loves going, he smiles and wants to go to Sarah as soon as he sees her. I cannot thank them enough and would highly recommend them to anyone

I couldn’t be happier with Sarah and Kev. My one year old loves coming to making memories and has settled really well. They’re always doing fun and interesting activities, arts and crafts, as well as lots of trips out to the park. He has learned and grown so much since being there, and it has also helped him to get used to being around other children. I totally trust that my son is being well cared for, we have regular updates through the day and we can talk about any issues or worries we may have. So glad we found making memories!

Love that Charlie now comes to making memories childcare. He gets involved in so many varied activities not always possible at home. Love looking at pictures of him full of gloop/paint etc and can see the interest in his little face. Really look forward to seeing what he's been up to each day. Great childcare which is provided with lots of imaginative & relevant activities. He seems now to be settled and enjoys his days with you. Hopefully Charlie will continue to stay with you as his childcare provider when I return to work following maternity leave, and also his little brother Finley can experience the same great setting. Big thumbs up from us

Best childminder I could ask for. My 1 year old settled in within days. Very friendly environment. Kids have lots of fun and learn something new every day. Highly recommend.

My 7 month old absolutely loves Making Memories.
He always has a smile on his face when he arrives and the regular updates during the day allow me as a parent to know what he's been up to.
Sarah (and Kevin) are fantastic with my little one. They're lovely people.
My boy thoroughly enjoys playing with the other children there too - he even gets to be involved in the arts and crafts that Sarah does.
I also love the fact that Sarah provides him with home cooked dinners when he has them there.
To add to that, Sarah's own children show an interest in my little one and enjoy playing with him also.
An amazing environment and an amazing childminder.
