About Me
I'm a 44yr old single mother with a son born 2014. I have 2 older brother one who lives with me. after leaving school I went to college and studied a GNVQ in health and social care a pre-nursing course and then the year after a childcare and education course. after leaving college I went on to work in a nursery where I studied for a NVQ level 3 in childcare. I worked in the nursery for 4 years before leaving to start work in a new nursery where I worked for 2 years. I tempt in nurseries for a few months while I was waiting to start work in my last job in the hospital on the maternity unit where I helped the mums with learning how to care for their new-borns such as feeding changing bathing etc. I also had to check the baby's observations, blood sugars, blood spot tests etc. I worked there for 11yrs and left due to having my son and finding leaving him hard. I have always wanted to be able to childmind once having children so I can give other people's children the love, care and attention they deserve just as I give to my own. I want all children to feel happy comfortable and at home whilst in my care. I have always wanted to be a mummy and care for children, and I'm told from about 2 years old when asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would say a mummy.
so, I always knew there is no other job I would ever want to do than childcare and I have always loved and enjoyed my jobs, and I knew eventually I would care for them in my home
My Experience
baby sitting when younger and the local church cresh
work experience in a nursery while at school and also while doing my CCE course at collage
I worked in nurseries from leaving college till starting at the hospital where I worked for 11 yrs
new born experience in a hospital maternity unit doing observations, some bloods, baby care such as bathing nappy changing feeding and general baby care teaching etc.
I also have experience of being a mummy
