A good nanny
Kasia has been with our family for 6 weeks Mar-Apr '22. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, her daughter having allergies (we have cats), she couldn't continue her work.
Kasia is a good nanny. Our son (10 months) warmed up to Kasia and her daughter quickly. She took them out for walks in the park, playdates, classes and cooked food at home for lunch and tea. She worked with the family to support our routine (breastfeeding, naps) and also made useful suggestions for changing the routine and improving nutrition and dealing with any illnesses (colds, rashes etc). She is proactive and interested in child's welfare even beyond the day-to-day work.
Saying that, we found it difficult to adjust to having a nanny with her own child (allergies leading to eliminating food types from food, prioritizing classes and schedules to fit older child). We had some issues with inconsistent communication, where it wasn't clear whether she could serve her notice period, and whether we could bring our baby to her home which she offered but then retracted, as she couldn't serve her notice period, so we were left with no childcare and full time jobs.
Overall, she is highly recommended for the right family, she is caring and will go above and beyond to help the family while on the job.
