My Experience
PERSONAL SUMMARY
I am a friendly, child-loving and competent nanny. Who has been caring for children for the last 15 years. I have a calm attitude and I am a self-starter who is diligent and well organised. When it come to the children in my care I am fun loving, energetic and enjoy playing games both indoors and out. I especially like being outside with children whatever the weather! Where we can engage with our surrounding as the season change and the child can use their energy in a satisfying and healthy way. I am firm with the children in my care when needed, as those boundaries are important for children to feel secure as well as to keep them safe. I believe it is vital to work in partnership with a family so that I can understand there methods of caring for and disciplining there child so that I can provide continuity for the family when I am looking after their child. I hope to provide a stimulating and nurturing environment for the children in my care to grow and thrive in.

Kasia has been with our family for 6 weeks Mar-Apr '22. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, her daughter having allergies (we have cats), she couldn't continue her work.
Kasia is a good nanny. Our son (10 months) warmed up to Kasia and her daughter quickly. She took them out for walks in the park, playdates, classes and cooked food at home for lunch and tea. She worked with the family to support our routine (breastfeeding, naps) and also made useful suggestions for changing the routine and improving nutrition and dealing with any illnesses (colds, rashes etc). She is proactive and interested in child's welfare even beyond the day-to-day work.
Saying that, we found it difficult to adjust to having a nanny with her own child (allergies leading to eliminating food types from food, prioritizing classes and schedules to fit older child). We had some issues with inconsistent communication, where it wasn't clear whether she could serve her notice period, and whether we could bring our baby to her home which she offered but then retracted, as she couldn't serve her notice period, so we were left with no childcare and full time jobs.
Overall, she is highly recommended for the right family, she is caring and will go above and beyond to help the family while on the job.
We have known Kasia for 6 years as the nanny to our neighbours children, managing a nanyshare with our neighbours and two other families, and then as a nanny to our girls. She cared four our then 4 year old on a temporary basis and later she cared for our baby daughter for 4 months (between 9-13 months) before we started at a montessori nursery. We consider ourselves very lucky to have been able to have Kasia for the time we did to look after both of our girls!
When she was looking after our baby she brought her own daughter who was 3 months older which was lovely as it meant the two girls had another baby to play with of a similar age. She divided her time equally between the two girls and manged their individual needs incredibly well.
Kasia has a warm, calm and caring nature. She takes an active interest in helping children build confidence and developmental milestones. We would find our baby learning things from one day to the next that only Kasia had taught her! She is very active and takes children outside for fresh air and active play everyday regardless of the weather. Kasia proactively organises playdates, days out and trips to various playgroups or activites.
When working from home, I would hear the baby girls laughing and babbling as Kasia engaged them in guided play. She was patient and gentle in encouraging repeating skills and play between the two girls. Kasia was fantastic at meal and naptimes.
On one occassion she looked after our (now) 5 year old and our 13 month old so we could attend a wedding. She sent us regular updates throughout the day and paid extra attention to our older daughter during our youngests naptime that she cherished. The first thing our older daughter asked us the morning after the wedding was when Kasia was coming back again!
Oh, and she also takes THE MOST BEAUTIFUL photos of your children as she shares what they are doing during the day.
You should consider yourself very lucky if you are able to have Kasia caring for your children. She is by far the best nanny we have ever had (we have had 4 in the past 6 years) and a genuine pleasure to have as an extension of your family and as a part of your life.
I am a Barrister and my Husband is a Commercial Property Insurance Broker. Like many parents, we felt so much anxiety around finding the right person to care for our son Zachariah towards the end of my maternity leave. We feel so grateful everyday to have found Kasia and we have never needed to worry.
I actually remember the first day we met Kasia at Beckenham Place Park. It was a sunny, summer day. We introduced ourselves and then there was a moment where Kasia smiled at Zachariah and said "hello". Kasia then asked Zachariah for permission to touch his foot. I will always remember that she waited for a positive acknowledgment from him before she gently touched his foot - and then, he smiled. From that first day, we were all put at ease. Zachariah still has lots of smiles every time he sees Kasia.
Kasia has looked after Zachariah since he was 12 month's old. He is now 17 months and Kasia and her daughter Gaia are now 2 of his (and our) favourite people! He has such a wonderful time each and everyday and they do all sorts of activities including singing, story, music and dance classes. Kasia also makes the most wonderful meals for Zachariah and he has wonderful eating habits including enjoying a wide variety of foods including lots of fruit and vegetables baby led weaning style.
Since Kasia has started, she has always been polite, on-time and managed to leave our home tidier than we left it! Kasia is loving and gentle and lots of fun. It is obvious to see that Kasia genuinely cares for Zachariah and our family. We loved that we were even able have Kasia at our wedding last month - our family and friends commented on how wonderful Kasia is with Zachariah.
Kasia loves being outside so Zachariah gets loads of outside hours including picnics, park walks and feeding the ducks. Kasia reads lots of books daily and although Zachariah already had quite a few words prior to Kasia starting as his nanny, his language and comprehension skills have continued to blossom and it amazes me everyday how much she has been able to teach him (all good habits!).
Our time together is coming to a premature end because we are moving to Bermuda at the end of February. While we are so excited to be making this move we will miss Kasia and Gaia and so will Zachariah! I am sure that we will continue to be friends and that Zachariah and Gaia will meet up whenever we return to the UK - they are just the best of friends and it's so lovely to watch.
I have no reservation recommending Kasia for any future nanny position.
Kasia was employed by me in a nanny share to look after my daughter who was 10 months old at the start. The nanny share was with my neighbour, Cheryl and ended because I moved to Hong Kong (Kasia continued to work for Cheryl).
Kasia is a wonderful nanny; calm, caring and nurturing. We are still in contact and my daughter misses her very much. The move to Hong Kong was easy for my daughter as Kasia had given her a lot of confidence and independence - Kasia had encouraged her to explore and do new things and I know my daughter felt secure in the knowledge that Kasia was there in case she needed her. It also made my return to work easier (I am a single parent) as Kasia kept me updated throughout the day with messages and pictures and I felt comfortable knowing that my daughter was being well cared for.
Kasia is very active and likes to take the children to parks, classes and day trips to museums / shows / other activities. She was very proactive in finding interesting things to do for my daughter and Cheryl’s son, always making sure that they would learn something and benefit from the activity. She also instilled good behaviour and manners in both of them without being strict. There were boundaries set so the children did not act up but they also had fun and laughed a lot.
Kasia built a strong network with other nannies so my daughter socialised with different children and built relationships with them.
Kasia was keen to make sure my daughter had a good and varied diet - she would leave a list of food for me to order and then write a diary of what they ate each day, what the reaction was and anything else of note. My daughter ate mackerel and quinoa with Kasia as well as lots of fruit and vegetables!
My daughter has benefited greatly from having Kasia as a nanny early on. She had new experiences in a loving environment which has made her curious, confident, happy, secure and independent. I cannot recommend Kasia highly enough and would be more than happy to discuss my experience on the phone directly.
Kasia looked after our son as part of a nanny share wen he was 2-3 years until he started nursery. Kasia is such a natural with young children, and our son was so happy in her care.
Kasia is organised and reliable, cooks lovely fresh and healthy food for the children, and provides a safe and stimulating environment for children.
Kasia's approach brings out the best in the children she looks after, planning fun activities and a good routine.
Kasia is caring, loving and is great at communicating with parents, sending lots of lovely photos. I can't recommend Kasia highly enough!
