Just like family / Kasia sets the bar high!
I am a Barrister and my Husband is a Commercial Property Insurance Broker. Like many parents, we felt so much anxiety around finding the right person to care for our son Zachariah towards the end of my maternity leave. We feel so grateful everyday to have found Kasia and we have never needed to worry.
I actually remember the first day we met Kasia at Beckenham Place Park. It was a sunny, summer day. We introduced ourselves and then there was a moment where Kasia smiled at Zachariah and said "hello". Kasia then asked Zachariah for permission to touch his foot. I will always remember that she waited for a positive acknowledgment from him before she gently touched his foot - and then, he smiled. From that first day, we were all put at ease. Zachariah still has lots of smiles every time he sees Kasia.
Kasia has looked after Zachariah since he was 12 month's old. He is now 17 months and Kasia and her daughter Gaia are now 2 of his (and our) favourite people! He has such a wonderful time each and everyday and they do all sorts of activities including singing, story, music and dance classes. Kasia also makes the most wonderful meals for Zachariah and he has wonderful eating habits including enjoying a wide variety of foods including lots of fruit and vegetables baby led weaning style.
Since Kasia has started, she has always been polite, on-time and managed to leave our home tidier than we left it! Kasia is loving and gentle and lots of fun. It is obvious to see that Kasia genuinely cares for Zachariah and our family. We loved that we were even able have Kasia at our wedding last month - our family and friends commented on how wonderful Kasia is with Zachariah.
Kasia loves being outside so Zachariah gets loads of outside hours including picnics, park walks and feeding the ducks. Kasia reads lots of books daily and although Zachariah already had quite a few words prior to Kasia starting as his nanny, his language and comprehension skills have continued to blossom and it amazes me everyday how much she has been able to teach him (all good habits!).
Our time together is coming to a premature end because we are moving to Bermuda at the end of February. While we are so excited to be making this move we will miss Kasia and Gaia and so will Zachariah! I am sure that we will continue to be friends and that Zachariah and Gaia will meet up whenever we return to the UK - they are just the best of friends and it's so lovely to watch.
I have no reservation recommending Kasia for any future nanny position.
