My name is Nichola, I live with my husband Lloyd and our 2 children who are 15 and 12 and our little dog Loki
My Experience
I have a level 3 in childcare and have been childminding since 2017
My first inspection since registration was June 2019. I strive to provide a home from home environment for all my minded children and I’m so happy this came across in the inspection report. I’m so proud of my Good rating and should you wish, the full report is available to read online.
My aim has always been to make my minded children feel part of our family and get to know them and how they learn. I am a planner and have set meals but we often sit down all together and discuss what we want the following week. Getting children involved in what we eat, where we go and what we do. We like to be out and about and currently have annual passes for Washington Wetlands, Jarrow Hall, Tynemouth Aquarium, Life Centre, Tweddle Farm & Woodhorn Museum. My aim is to give children as many experiences as I can. We learn as we go, counting ducks, spotting numbers on cars, seeing who can see the first red car, blue car. They don't realise they are learning.
I’m currently using an online system for all paperwork and daily diary's. You can log on at anytime and see photos of your child, what they’ve eaten, how they’ve slept etc. All invoices are sent online, contracts, policies and procedures can all be viewed online.
I offer a meet and greet session and 1 settling in session free of charge. After that if you require more settling in sessions an hourly fee will be charged.
I have 2 children myself and the youngest child I have child-minded was 5 months when she first started

My Availability
I have 2 spaces becoming available on a Friday only. If you are looking for a Friday, please get in touch ASAP. Please bear in mind that spaces fill up fast in the area and planning ahead is essential.
I offer the 15 and 30 hours free childcare and can offer this to be stretched over the year rather than term time only if this is what you need.
I currently have 10 children on my books ranging from 1 to 12 years in age.

Nichola has had my 2 children from both being babys (they are 2 and 3 now) and they are thriving from being with her during the week! Its a home away from home and my kids love being there... we see Nichola as an extension of our family and are so thankful for everything she does with our kids. They are always out on adventures or doing arts and crafts at home and are always well fed with home cooked meals. Our kids have come on leaps and bounds thanks to Nichola and we wouldn't be without her ❤️

Nichola is very good with my daughter. She takes care of her as if she were her own and has bonded well with her. Nichola is organised and always provides you with detailed information and reports. My daughter has learnt a lot from her and always enjoys going there. I have no worries or concerns when l leave my daughter with her as l know she is in safe hands. I highly recommend Nichola.

My daughter has been going to Nichola since she was 6 month old and she absolutely loves it! I was so nervous about leaving her at first, but since day 1, my mind has been at ease. Nichola has always been flexible with us, which is greatly appreciated due to my job. My daughter receives lovely meals, and always taking part in the activities with the other kids and overall thoroughly enjoys her time there. Highly recommended!!!

Our 18 month old girl has been with Nichola since September 2017, and we are very happy with the care she receives. Activities are thoughtfully planned out, facilities are fun and engaging, lovely food is provided. Most importantly we have appreciated Nichola's kindness and patience in helping our little settle in to a new experience and environment. She now goes into the sessions with open arms. I would give Nic Nacs a really high recommendation.
