We love to go out to playgroups, parks and playgrounds, getting active and exploring the world. I passionately believe that young people should be afforded opportunities which allow them to develop their own views of the world.
I love to cook and all meals are home cooked with vegetable packed pasta sauces, fresh ingredients, nutritious soups and healthy snacks, unless we make cakes, then snacks are not so healthy, but cakes feed happiness, and that's just as important. We grow some of our own vegetables and fruit in the garden, which is a big enough for a playhouse, slide and sandpit, as well as locked gates to prevent unwanted exploring!
We have lots of resources in the playroom, a train set, duplo, building blocks, small world playsets, books, a shop, jigsaws, crafts and messy play stuff.
I can pick up and collect from St Swithun's school, Kennington.
My Experience
I have two children of my own. I have been a child minder since September 2016 and I have experience teaching in a language school in Oxford.
My Qualifications
I have a childminding qualification from PACEY, a paediatric first aid certificate, a food hygiene certificate and an advanced safeguarding certificate. I also have A levels in history, art, mathematics and a degree in art.
My Availability
I work term time only with no charges during school holiday time, ideal for teachers.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £14.00 per hour
- Childminding from £6.20 per hour
I charge £6.20 per hour. This includes all home cooked meals, snacks, trips, playgroups and nappies. It doesn't include infant formula milk.
My Local Schools
- I provide drop offs at Carswell Community Primary School
- I provide drop offs and pick ups at St Swithun's CofE Primary School

Jane has a wonderful way with children, and my little one always looked forward to spending days with her, enjoying time with friends in a safe and caring environment. It's clear she's committed to the children's well-being.
However, I believe there could be some improvement in how communication is handled between Jane and the parents.
For instance, Jane never shared with us her policies but expected us to comply. This would not had been too bad but unfortunately, even slight misalignments resulted in escalation.
Additionally, some reduction to our agreed hours were made one-sidedly, which was unexpected and created some logistical challenges on our end. Neither it was well communicated.
There were times when specific needs or requests, such as adjusting the timing for potty training to better suit my child’s readiness, seemed to be challenging to negotiate. These discussions did not always go as smoothly as hoped and unfortunately led to our parting ways on Jane’s request.
In summary, your child most probably will be happy at Jane’s if you are happy with “my business my rules” attitude and you are certain that no flexibility would be required.
