Hi I'm Dawn,
I OFFER ALL THE FUNDED HOURS from the Government, 9 months + 2,3,4 year olds 15 or 30 hours, If I have spaces.
I am a Childminder, Registered with Ofsted. (Good grade) I have been registered since Oct 2010.
I live in Bestwood Park, I live there with my 2 lovely girls age 21 and 23 and my husband. We have lived there for 24 years.
We have all been DBS checked.
I am a home from home Childcare provider, who believe children are in school for a good few years, (so let them have fun before the structure of school everyday) we still learn following the EYFS through fun play. We play and learn in my home and in my garden when we are not out and about. I provide a safe, happy and secure environment.
I use WhatsApp to send photos of the childrens activities throughout the morning.
I provide various activities, trips to the park and other outdoor areas, we go to playgroups and softplay where the children get to mix with other children.
I have numerous Indoor toys,such as toy kitchen, boardgames, playdough, paw patrol, dolls and accessories, dressing up, creative activities and many many more.
I have a friendly dog.
My Experience
I have always loved being with children and have had many years experience from having my 2 girls, then I went on to work in a schools creche, Teaching Assistant and a midday supervisor with different aged children.
I will have been childminding for 15 years this year.
My Qualifications
Children's Care Learning and Development Levels 2 and 3.
Paediatric First Aid.
Safeguarding.
CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Home based Childcare.
Registered with the Food Standards Agency.
Effective Management for Young People (Behaviour)
My Availability
I'm available for all age FUNDING by the government,which is 15 or 30 hours.
I will have spaces from September due to children going to school.

I had such a poor experience with my previous child minder and I was so anxious to find someone new, soon as I met Dawn I had that instant feeling we all talk about where I just knew my son would be safe with her.
I am one really anxious mum, dawn done everything in her power to update me during the day, sending me lots of pictures and videos, letting me know how he's eaten how he's been etc. As time has gone on being with dawn I've needed less reassurances because I just know whatever she's doing with my boy is safe.
Dawn skills have brought on my anxious shy little boy on to being confident bubbly and outgoing. He is so courageous now and dawns skills are huge factor as to why he is the way he is now.
My son counting has come on massively, he has learnt the alphabet, he can point out letters and words now too.
Dawn does alot for our child and is so good with us as parents. I couldn't recommend dawn enough, she is caring, nurturing, kind, compassionate and exactly the type of person you'd want your children to be left with.

Dawn has always been an amazing childminder and has looked after my little boy since he was only 1, he is now 4. He enjoys going and Dawn takes him to lots of playgroups, play centres, wheelgate, parks, etc. She is very accommodating to his needs and has always been extremely welcoming. If it wasn't for me moving he’d be continuing to go before school in September. Thankyou so much for everything you’ve done, we will both miss you lots when little one leaves at the end of August. Dawn is highly recommended and contacts you throughout the day with plenty of pictures and videos.

Dawn is absolutely fantastic, my son have been with her for a year now and she has become family not only to my boy but to us too. She has consistently gone above and beyond for our family helping out as and when she can. Dawn ensures the kids come first and always has fun activities which help develop their learning whilst with her my boy has come on so well since being with her. She will be having our youngest boy too for a couple of months until we sadly move house but I’m confident he will also receive the same treatment from Dawn. For us it was important for our kids to have 1:1 attention and have a home from home setting with someone who we trust and Dawn is exactly that. She sends videos/photos via WhatsApp which is a great communication tool to settle your mind when leaving your kids it’s great to see how much fun they get up to! We would hands down recommend dawn to anyone she is brilliant at what she does and I think we’re going to struggle to find someone who will match up to her standards! 🥰

Dawn has been absolutely amazing for my youngest 2yr old Son! The Bond that these to have is absolutely unbreakable to the point he sometime doesn’t want to come home as he enjoys the environment, And the other children in that setting.
She has been, Super supportive in his learning and development and well adaptive to any diverse Needs we may have.
The things she has done with our son to improve his level of learning and everyday life skills has been absolutely amazing!!!
She has supported by teaching him at 2yrs old to put his shoes and socks on, getting his coat on.
Learning by counting objects to 20,
Hand and eye co-ordination moving tiny objects from one bowl too another and sorting items to their correct areas.,
learning shapes, colours, fruit and completing puzzles.
She has supported us though potty training and followed what we do at home.
She is always doing something with our son and often is on Outings at local Heritage Parks, Plays groups, Play Centres or WheelGate.
She also offers before school and after school care to our 5yr old daughter who is loving the space and enjoys playing dolls, arts crafted and Friday movie night.
We are from a No pet household but our Kids adapt to Dawn‘s dog Milo very well and enjoy their walks with Him too.
We certainly recommend Dawn and her Childminding Services and we are grateful for everything she does for us.

Dawn is absolutely brilliant with my little one, he has come on so well, gained so much confidence and very much enjoys being with Dawn and other kids. It really is a home from home ❤️ Very dedicated, passionate, hard working and caring.

My two boys have now been with Dawn for a year and absolutely love it! I'm over the moon with how much my boys like going. Such a wonderful lady.
She guides, and teaches my children, and provides a stabile and fun filled environment.
Her family are amazing, and my boys love her border collie dog Milo to bits and enjoy taking him for Walks and playing with him.
Words cannot express how good Dawn is!

Hi Erica. Aww that's wonderful of you to say. I love looking after the boys,they are lovely. They both settled straightaway without any problems,they have wonderful manners. Milo loves to play with them too.
our daughter has been going to dawns for a few months now altho she was abit unsure at first she now loves going and cant wait to get there :) our daughter will even wake up on a weekend and ask if shes going to dawns house, its the first time weve had to have a childminder but we are more than happy with the progress mia has made and how dawn works around my shifts and at last minute doing extra days :) shes always more than happy to help, i would highly recommend dawn to anyone looking for childcare, thanks again dawn xx

Dawn has looked after my 3 year old son since September and I couldn't ask for a better childminder. Jack loves going to Dawns, and enjoys the many activities He takes part in while he's with her. Dawn is very flexible and always willing to help out wherever she can. The progress Jack has made since being with Dawn is remarkable. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a childminder .

Dawn has cared for my two girls (Age 4 & 8) over the last year. The girls really enjoy spending time with Dawn and can't wait to go back again, again & again! They are always asking when they are going to Dawn's again. Dawn has been fantastic and really flexible, my shifts would sometimes change at short notice, but Dawn was always ready and willing to look after the girls when ever I needed her. Its the first time we have had to use a childminder, and I was nervous at first. But with Dawn I know the girls are well cared for and I can go to work with the peace of mind knowing that they are in good hands and being well cared for. I would just like to thank Dawn for all of her support and taking good care of my girls over the last year.
