About Me

Hello, my name is Molly :)
I am passionate about bringing out the best in children and young people by focusing on their strengths and interests.
'Speak to children as if they are the wisest, kindest, most beautiful and magical humans on earth, for what they believe is what they become'.
I am a very caring and friendly person who is easy to get along with.
'Children's minds were not built to sit and be taught. They were built to explore, play and learn'.
My ethos is very much about hands on activities/experiences, using children's interests to enhance learning and to have fun!
Here's a bit about what I enjoy to do...
* I have a dog called Piper so we love to go on long walks together. Nature is beautiful and free :)
*I always enjoy spending time with my wonderful Partner, family and close friends.
*There is nothing better than getting lost in a good book.
* I have two God Children so every bit of spare time I have I always love to do something with them. This includes; picnics, attending Children Centres, going to the park, exploring woods/nature parks, baking and staying at home to play.
If you would like to know anything else please don't hesitate to ask.
' Every child deserves the best possible start in life and the support that enables them to fulfil their potential'.
Please let me be a part of your families journey.
I look forward to hearing from you x

My Experience

I left college in 2012 with a Grade B in Level 3 Diploma in Child Care and Education.
Whilst at College I attended 4 placements. This included a nursery school, a nursery, a school and a specialist behavioural school.
I then went to help open a Nursery in Gainsborough where I stayed for 2 and a half years. I cared for children from 2 months to 2 years old and acted as the Special Education Needs Coordinator (SENCo) for 4 months.
When I left the Nursery I then went to support families find Child-Care who were eligible for the 2 Year Old Funding. I stayed within this role for 8 months and then the contract ended so I had to move on.
From there I then went into the Children's Centres to deliver children's groups. This involved a hello song, singing, talk time ( a discussion with parents about a range of different topics. For example; weaning, sleep and behaviour) followed by a shared activity, snack time, story time and then the goodbye song. The shared activities varied each week. I might've focused on imaginative play which then involved dressing up or dinosaur small world. I also might've focused on fine motor skills which then involved collage play or exploring a puzzle. I have a wide range of activity/experience ideas which I would love to share with you.
I stayed in the Children's Centres for 2 and half years and then the contract ended so it was time for me to look for something new.
I spent time working within the Contact Centres in Lincoln for a short while before becoming a Nanny for 6 months. The hours were very difficult with a having a pooch at home so I decided it was best to return back to the Children’s Centres which is where I’m currently working.
I have also volunteered as a Family Support Worker for Home-Start and had been a part of the charity for 3 years. Unfortunately due to working full time now I am unable to do this. I miss it greatly and would love to volunteer again in the near future.
