About Me

My name is Magdalena and I have been an Ofsted registered childminder since 2016. I’m based in Upper Cambourne where I live with my husband and three children aged 9,11&15. We are bilingual family.

In my setting I provide a safe, happy and stimulating environment where children can explore a variety of resources. Activities are prepared following the children’s interests and needs. I offer them different opportunities to explore and learn both indoors and outdoors, covering all seven areas of learning through active play.

In our daily routine we promote healthy and active lives. We love going out and about, walk to feed the ducks in the lake near by and always observe the change in nature around us through out the seasons. We visited the local library, children centre, local children’s group and we love walk around our local community.

Sometimes we going to my allotment or the local woods. We also attend a “play and learn” group two or three mornings a week run by myself and two others childminder where the children are enabled to socialise, build relationships with peers and learn to understand the feelings of others or manage their own emotions. We offer free play when children playing together, arts&crafts regarding to events in the calendar and finishing with story telling or singing time.

In my garden I have a dedicated play area where children explore early maths in our mud kitchen.There is also a trampoline, trucks, water&sand table, and other outdoor activities available through the year.
