About Us
Tip Top Day Nursery, is the first of the TipTop Childcare Limited settings, the others being based in Moxley and Bilston. Despite being part of a small chain of nurseries, our owners are heavily involved and each nursery is its own little family. Tip Top Day Nursery is a home from home setting caring for upto 42 children each day with a long term staff team.
Tip Top Day Nursery opened in June 2016 and has recieved a 'GOOD' outcome from Ofsted. We care for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years across our two floors with a Baby room, Toddler room and Preschool room. We are open 51 weeks a year, closing only for bank holidays and a week at Christmas.
We have specialist baby trained staff, that have extra training in babies and their development alongside the usual child development education that all staff are required to have. We also hold a 5 star food hygiene rating with an onsite cook who cooks fresh, healthy meals.
All staff are paediatric first aid trained, have an enhanced DBS that is required to be on the update system to allow for frequent checking. All of our staff are kind, caring, friendly and most importantly love children! Our staff have a real passion for working with children and are quality educators and carers.
We strongly believe that early childhood are the most formative years, our owners / sisters in law Kate and Lisa started Tip Top as parents themselves who had worked in nurseries before and wanted to open a nursery with a homely feel that provided high quality childcare that was as affordable as possible, and that's just what they did! We believe that children learn through play, and this ethos can be seen throughout our 3 nurseries. We believe in listening to the children and family's needs offering a diverse, homely and friendly atmosphere. We believe that the parents are the children's first educators and so we build good relationships with each of our families as well as the children, following each parents/families wishes and home routines. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage in order for children to be ready to start school when they leave us at age 5 but believe in learning through play, therefore making it fun for the children to learn.
We are based in Willenhall but on the boarder of Bilston, and Wolverhampton. We are within travel distance of Bloxwich, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Wednesbury, Darlaston, Oldbury, Tipton, Dudley, Coseley etc.
We also use an app called Famly that provides updates throughout the day of how your little one is getting on, providing a sense of closeness even with the largest of distances.

We accept the 2, 3 and 4 year funding from the government, the student finance childcare grant scheme, the 30 hours funding, tax free childcare and many more. We are also accepting the 9 month old funding from September 2024 - please call or pop in to discuss these. We are enrolling now for September 2025 with limited spaces available currently.
We have a Friday afternoon session available for our preschool room (1pm-6pm),
We have everyday expect a Thursday morning (8am-1pm), for our Toddler room (if your child does not turn 3 years old before August 2025),
We have every day available for our baby room currently.

Our Fees
- Childcare from £39.50 per morning
- Childcare from £37.50 per afternoon
- Childcare from £58.00 per day
- Childcare from £260.00 per week
We offer the two year old funding for both 15 hours and 30 hours, three to five year old funding for both 15 hours and 30 hours (can be taken term time only or stretched across the full year - please enquire for more information regarding stretching your child's hours). We will also be offering the nine month old funding from September 2024. Also we accept tax free childcare, childcare voucher payments and childcare grant payments from Universities, Colleges and Social Care.
8am-6pm - £58, 8am-1pm - £39.50, 1pm-6pm - £37.50, Discounted full week - £260.

Tip Top day nursery is incredible! As a parent and teacher myself, I went to view lots of nurseries and Tip Top nursery seemed the best choice for us. My son has been attending for 4 weeks and I cannot explain how much progress he has made. He has built strong and happy relationships with the staff. The staff are incredible, caring and kind and safeguarding is their priority. They treat the children as if they are their own. I cannot recommend this nursery enough, it’s one of the best around! You will not regret sending your child here. Well done to the staff at Tip Top for making the nursery such an amazing, safe, caring and happy place for all the children and babies.

Our daughter has been attending Tip Top full-time since she was 8 months old.
She is now 4 and due to leave to start school in September - if we had a choice, we would leave her at Tip Top!
We can't recommend the setting highly enough.
Friendly staff who care for the children as their own, fantastic activities, excellent food menu - our daughter loves it!

If we could we would keep all of our children too...might have to start a Tip Top School! We have been sending our daughter here since she turned 1. Just over 18months ago.
And we love it here. She started in the baby room and progressed into the toddlers.
We have had issues with her eating, and the staff at the nursery have been amazingly supportive, and have helped to encourage her to eat more new foods.
They have little trips out, and open days too.
They go above and beyond to address the individual needs of the children, we couldn't ask for a better environment for out daughter to thrive in.
They are happy for us to pop in to discuss her progress, as well as parents evenings.

I sent my son here first from 2.5 until he went into reception. He formed a great bond with all the staff and came on leaps and bounds. His speech was a little behind but from starting nursey he flourished. His graduation was so sad because he was leaving but so wonderful to see how much the team all cared for the kids. They never skimp on effort.
I didnt hesitate sending my daughter here when i went back to work. She's been going from 6 months old and not a single tear has been shed because I've left. She's 2 now and runs and skips to the door.
The activities are great, the food provided is nutritious and healthy, the nursery is clean and most importantly, the team are all caring wonderful people. I cannot rave about tip top enough. I will be sad when my daughter leaves.
