About Me
Wrap around care (3/4 days a week Mon-Thurs/15-20 hour week) with warm and loving family in Kingston/Surbiton starting February/March 2025
We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic nanny to join our large family and support morning school runs and after school pick up for our 4 beautiful children- our oldest girl who is 10 (Year 6 and very independent), her younger brother is 8 (Year 4 - diagnosed with high functioning autism), younger sister who is 6 years old (Year 2- very loving and caring) and finally our youngest daughter who is 4 years old (in Nursery-very happy and kind).
A bit about us: Mum is Danish and dad is British. We both work in London with expectation to be in the office at least a day a week (which we always look to do on an alternating basis). Our daughters are very sweet, very funny and incredibly kind to everyone around them (even each other!;) with the occasional cheeky behaviour-particularly from the 4-year-old! Our son is full of energy, aware he is the only boy among several girls so a charmer with bags of personality. He has recently been diagnosed with autism and high levels of anxiety so can at times struggle with demands of everyday life. Experience with SEN children hence a key requirement for the role.
We live in Surbiton (KT5) almost equidistant from Surbiton station (10mins walk) and Kingston Town Centre (15 mins walk) our house is well connected with local bus services into either Surbiton High Street or Kingston Town Centre. All the children goes to the same school (10mins walk/5 mins drive away) but do have varying drop off and pick up times. Both my husband and I would be around to support both getting ready in the morning and pick ups when needed.
My Requirements
This is a permanent and hopefully long term position for wrap around care 3 or 4 days a week from 7-9am in the morning (getting kids ready & take them to school) and again from 3pm-6pm in the afternoon (school pick up, possible transport to afterschool activities and supporting afternoon/early evening homework) . Mum doesn't work on Fridays so the position is for 3 or 4 days Mon-Thurs (between 15-20hrs a week). Key responsibility is to provide the children with a loving and warm environment, ensuring they are well cared for and nurtured in accordance with their developmental needs. You would support us in getting the kids ready in the morning for school/nursery and then drop off (husband can where needed support) You would be responsible for nursery and school pick up of the 3 younger children (the oldest walks to and from school independently) and where required support additional pick ups where needed.
