Hi, I'm Laura, 47 years old with over 20years experience working in a variety of roles with children and families. I love working with children and truly see my work as a vocation not a job. I'm creative, enjoy outdoor and messy play, baking and snuggling up with a good book. I love planning and taking part in activities to engage the children in my care. Having worked in nurseries, pre-schools and schools I have sound knowledge of developmental stages and age appropriate activities to stimulate and encourage all aspects of a child's development. I'm calm, caring, warm and have a healthy sense of humour and try and make life fun! I practice nurture and gentle parenting styles and will use positive parenting strategies to enable your child to help manage their emotions. I am a good communicator and feel I build positive relationships with people from all backgrounds easily. As a mother myself I know there are always endless jobs around the house so am happy to 'muck in' and help keep the household ticking along by helping with laundry, cleaning, shopping etc. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile,

Head of year in a multi-academy trust with children aged 4-16 years
and finally with first hand experience of raising my own 2 children now aged 24 and 20, one whom has additional needs.
