About Us
We are a private family run nursery on the edge of Wrose, Bradford. We know how important excellent childcare is, as we have 7 children between us. We are open from 7.30am - 6pm.
Our cook Kim, provides home cooked nutritious meals, freshly prepared on the premises each day, using seasonal produce, some of which has been grown by our children in the garden!
Chris, one of the owners is a qualified teacher and spends time with the pre-school children, preparing them for school and sharing his love of art and craft with all the children. ALL our staff hold a paediatric first aid certificate and are passionate about providing a stimulating, engaging time for all the children in our care.
We have a dedicated under 2's room, where the little ones can enjoy playing and having fun in a nurturing, caring environment with their key worker. We have a beautiful warm log cabin for our 2 year olds with their own dedicated outdoor playground. Our pre-school children are well catered for also in a large, but homely, ground floor room, with direct access to the outdoors. The emphasis is on learning through play, with a wide range of fun, purposeful and creative activities. The children and the practitioners are not afraid to get messy! Children spend a good proportion of each day outdoors, in our garden, where they can explore in the mud kitchen, build with the large construction materials or practice their driving skills with our wide range of scooters and cars.

Our little boy started Little Wellies Baildon in March this year at around 10 Months of age, and has settled in very well. We are kept informed of naps, feeds, changes and activities he has taken part in each day. Already he has taken a trip out of nursery to visit the local horses which was lovely to hear about! He also baked some biscuits for mummy and daddy!
It was super important for us to choose a nursery that kept children active and outdoors as much as possible and Little Wellies certainly delivers on that!
We are encouraged to call any time we like for an update each day, and the staff are all very friendly and approachable.
We love being part of the Private Facebook group and seeing pictures of our little guy learning and playing with his friends :-)
We are so pleased we chose Little Wellies, and would recommend to anyone.

Little Wellies is a lovely, warm, friendly, real home from home, and I wouldn’t send my children anywhere else. I have 2 children here, one is 11 months old and in the baby room. And my eldest is 3 and in pre-school, she has attended since she was 8 months old. The staff are friendly and approachable and really enjoy looking after my children. My eldest is always coming home and telling me what she’s learnt and who she’s played with. Both my children’s development has come on leaps and bounds and it’s thanks to the dedication and care of the staff. My girls love little wellies!
