Hi, my name is Jessica, and I have experience in different roles within the childcare sector, such as, nursery practitioner acting deputy manager and nanny. I am also a parent myself :)
I am very bubbly, active and have a very positive attitude when at work. Early years is a passion of mine and I always want the best for children and ensure they have high quality education to get the best start in life. I have a very caring nature and find it important to have a great rapport with parents at all times.
I am very understanding and always willing to help in anyway I can. I can adapt to different environments/changes easily and enjoy challenges.
My Experience
I have almost 10 years experience in nurseries, one where I was acting deputy manager for a year before going on maternity leave. I have had a lot of experience with planning activities suitable for the child (ren) I am planning for, ensuring to take in their age and abilities too. Working in nurseries has given me indispensable experience with children of different ages and personalities, and I’ve learned how to meet their individual needs with patience, warmth, and devotion.
I enjoy lots of messy activities and sensory based activities and outdoor activities. I use my initiative and always think outside of the box with activities to get the most out of the activity.
My first nanny job was in 2019 and was only short term until the family had to move away. My most recent nanny job lasted for a year and a half. I have grown to be best friends with the mother and my daughter too with her child.
I was solo with both children where we would go to the local library for fun group stories and music times, gone to the local parks to burn off energy and put our gross motor skills to practice. And back home we'll engage in some fine motor skill activities to calm the atmosphere or enhance our creative minds with some messy/creative and sensory play.

I am currently looking for part time so that my husband and I can balance part time together to ensure our child is looked after and dropped off and picked up accordingly.
