My Summary

My Experience

I completed my PGCE with QTS in Primary Education in December and have experience of teaching and supporting children of various abilities in EYFS and Key Stages 1 and 2. During the PGCE, I taught in Years 2 and 6 and have good knowledge of the primary National Curriculum and assessment for learning across both key stages. I have excellent literacy and numeracy skills and have planned and taught subjects across the National Curriculum in both of these years. In addition to whole class teaching, I have led intervention groups, (both 1:1 and in group settings), for children needing additional support in core subject areas. These have included daily Phonics sessions, handwriting interventions and 1:1 Maths SATs interventions in Year 6. I have also worked as a HLTA in a primary school and have experience working with SEN pupils, particularly those diagnosed with Autism and ADHD. Alongside my job as an EYFS teacher, I also tutor students who are in need of additional support across the primary curriculum.
