My Experience

I worked in a private nursery for only a couple months in which I worked in the baby room most of my time but I did work in the toddler and pre-school rooms too and then went on to be a nanny. While I was at the nursery, whilst working in the baby room I helped preparing bottles and nap time and keeping a routine the same as they would do at home. I planned activities such as messy play, sensory etc. I was in my first nanny job for 2 years when I started the children were aged B2 and G4. The role included light housekeeping doing the children's laundry and ironing, and keeping the house tidy. Arranging play dates, interaction with the children, cooking healthy meals, bath time and bed time. Also assisting with homework, spellings each week and reading.Then I did some temporary work for a couple months with various ages. From February 2017 until April 2018. I was nannying for a family, the children are aged G5 and B7 which duties include dropping off and picking up from school, cooking healthy meals assisting with homework and spellings each week. Arranging play dates for the children which is so much fun! Organising arts and crafts which I love to do. In half terms I love to take the children out and about which would include Zoo, Museums, Farms, Soft-play, parks etc. I’ve always had such great relationships with the families I’ve worked with, we always communicate well and work as a team. From April 2018 until September 2019 I was with a family looking after three children, G9, B6 and G3. I take the older two to school in the morning and picks up in the afternoon while I look after G3. I take her to playgroups, parks, farms etc. In the evening I cook dinner such as bolognese, coconut chicken curry and I always help with homework, reading and spellings. From end of September until March 2020 was nannying for a family with B4months. The family are relocated to America. From December 2021 until October 2023, I was working as Bank Staff in a nursery, duties included helping set out for meal times, tidying up, engaging with children in activities etc. My last nannying job ended at the beginning of February as the job was a temporary one due to G1 starting nursery. I cooked daily various meals, I went for fresh air everyday whether that was just for a walk or taking her to soft play, park etc.

My Qualifications

I am qualified Level 3 and Level 2 in Child care and Education. I have a up to date DBS check. I have also completed First Aid.
