About Me
My name is Sami and I am a qualified Montessori teacher and an Ofsted registered childminder.
I am a fun, caring and gentle childminder, practising in a loving, home environment.
I specialise in under 3s and do not take school aged children so that I can tailor the day to suit the littlest ones.
My open plan, light, stimulating house is full of toys and resources enabling me to provide a comprehensive delivery of the EYFS.
Your child will have the best of both worlds- learning and experiencing the world with the guidance of an early years professional, but while remaining in a nurturing family environment with low ratios.
I focus on each child's needs and tailor an active curriculum for them as individuals, utilising my large collection of toys and learning materials. We visit toddler groups, national trust sites and music sessions daily and explore libraries, shops and parks frequently. And of course have constant access to our beautiful, enriching and spacious garden.
We see lots of other children while at playgroups, have play dates and take the children to groups like Jo Jingles, Hart Beeps, ballet and gymnastics. These have helped the children develop fantastic skills and supported their day to day learning.
I provide a nutritious and balanced diet. All meals are provided and cooked fresh every day. Children are encouraged and supported to make healthy food choices.
My fees include all food and drink, nappies, wipes and toddler groups/trips out.
I maintain low ratios allowing me to meet the needs of each child with plenty of attention and guidance. This also helps to maintain the home like feel.
I use an online diary and learning system with daily records detailing what we've been up to. This will be packed with photographs, videos and observations along with information on eating, sleeping and toileting etc
I formally record children's progress to make sure they are all developing to their full potential.
I am located a short walk away from Bookham station so if you're commuting to London you can park here and hop on the train in no time.
My training includes a Montessori Teaching Diploma, the chIP childminding course and a 12 hour Paediatric First Aid course that I update regularly. I also studied Psychology and childhood development and I am currently completing a psychology degree part time.

- Childminding from £8.00 per hour
Current fees are £8 per hour and include all food, drink, groups, outings, nappies and wipes.
I accept funded hours, Childcare Vouchers and tax free childcare payments.

Our son started with Sami when he was one and had a very smooth settling in period. She has a great set up at her home with lots of resources and toys for all ages. Our son enjoyed going each day as Sami offers lots of varied activities at home and my son particularly enjoyed playing outside in the garden or going to activities such as Jo Jiggles and playgroups which are all included within the price.
As parents we felt Finnian was very well cared for. We were kept informed each day of what our son was doing via the baby days app including sharing photos which was such a bonus.
Sami is a very caring childminder and our son was very happy there and loved playing with her children too when they got back from school.
Overall, Sami provided great care for our son, and would recommended her services.

We were lucky enough to have Sami look after our daughter for nearly two years. Sami provided a home-away-from-home environment with an excellent mix of activities both inside and outside of her home for my daughter. My daughter adored Sami and her family and I was happy and confident leaving her in Sami's care each day.
The use of the baby's days app for day-to-day communication with parents was excellent. I was able to see what food, activities and sleep times had occurred during the day (seeing photos of my daughter on the app was frequently the highlight of my day!) and daily updates in person as well. Sami is professional, organised and excellent with children. Sh has a well earned reputation for excellent early years care, I highly recommend her services.

Our children have been in Sami’s full time care from 11 months through to 3.5years for our daughter and 2.5 years for our son. During this time, both children have developed and flourished in her care.
Sami’s professional outlook ensures the children get involved in many different activities, receive a well-balanced diet and learn best practices. However, the most important quality Sami possesses is her ability to provide a happy and loving home where our children have felt part of the family as well as individuals.
Sami always seems kind, calm and patient with them and the children are happy and well behaved and they know what’s expected of them. Our children have been able to explore their different interests as individuals to develop their individual characters and personalities.
We’ve been impressed by the variety of toys that Sami has; with a good mix of educational and creative activities. She has a good balance of structure and creative play, as well as physical and educational development activities.
We also liked the strong level of timely communication that we received as part of her care; something that is almost unparalleled with what we’ve seen other caregivers provide. Sami works with parents to support in the child’s development, such as learning to walk, potty training etc.
We have found Sami to be extremely competent, conscientious and trustworthy, and have full confidence that she would be able to offer any child/children in her care everything that is required and more.

Our daughter has been in Sami's care for just under a year. Sami's been great from the beginning and has made the settling in as easy as possible for both our daughter and us. She is passionate about looking after children, her environment is a safe and fun place to be with always new toys and activities, including social and informative ones that follow the EYFS guidance. Sami has got a large living room with a great range of toys as well as a lovely and sunny garden with outdoor toys, and even a paddling pool in the summer, which our daughter loved. She also takes them on walks to local NT parks, trips to town, and even music and gymnastics classes which is fantastic and almost a nanny service!
Sami writes a blog narrating what the children have been up to and including loads of great pictures just proving how happy they are. Our daughter has very well developped and gain self confidence whilst being looked after by Sami, and really seems to appreciate the home from home environment. Children within Sami's care have developped good sharing habits, care and respect for each other.
As parents, we really appreciated the trusting relationship we had with Sami, her sense of initiatives, and flexibility when we have needed earlier drop offs or late pick ups. Our daughter and us also got to know Sami's lovely family who have warmly welcomed us.
We feel very lucky to have found Sami and regret having to change childcare arrangements. She really is great for both children and parents, genuinely cares about the children she looks after and always keeps them entertained, happy and safe and we would strongly recommend her to other parents.

Sami has looked after our daughter (Anna, 1 year old) since January 2015, and following a very smooth settling in period we are very pleased we chose her to look after our daughter. She offers an open, friendly and homely environment and Anna really enjoys spending time there. Her house is well set out for young toddlers, and there are plenty of toys and activities to explore. Complementary to this are a range of activities each week and something different every day; from going out to local parks, National Trust visits, music classes and soft play there are plenty of things to keep Anna occupied and interested. Sami also provides a good level of encouragement to continue to develop – such as helping Anna to walk, brushing her teeth and encouraging her to continue to become more independent. There’s good communication throughout Anna’s care, with a daily diary with photos that we can look at. Overall, Sami provides great care for our daughter, and comes highly recommended.
