We are incredibly grateful to have had Alaine as our nanny for the past year and a half. She joined us when our daughter was just 11 months old, and during this time, Alaine has become an invaluable member of our family.

As a great swimmer herself, Alaine has encouraged and nurtured my little one's interest in swimming, helping her develop a love for the water. Her confidence and skills in swimming have grown remarkably, thanks to Alaine’s patient and fun teaching style.

Culinary Skills:
In addition to her childcare abilities, Alaine is also an excellent cook. My little one loves the meals she prepares, especially her tomato sauce and vegetable muffin cakes. Alaine’s knack for preparing healthy and delicious meals has positively influenced her eating habits, encouraging her to enjoy a variety of nutritious foods.

I wholeheartedly recommend Alaine to any family seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated nanny. Her presence in our lives has been a blessing, and we are confident she will bring the same positive energy and care to any family she works with.

Fantastic nanny in every way!

Alaine is a dedicated, experienced and hard-working nanny, who excels at what she does. She is unfailingly punctual and organised, and combines a very deep and wide-ranging childcare experience with genuine warmth and affection.

The highest compliment we can pay Alaine is that there was no time where we felt a moment’s concern about leaving our daughter with her. No matter what the situation, whether our daughter was unwell or whether her and Alaine were taking one of the many day trips organised by Alaine, we were always confident that our daughter would be cared for to the highest standards. In our experience with Alaine, she always put her interests first.

Our daughter a was 12 months’ old when Alaine joined us, in November 2021, at a time when the pandemic was still current. During her time with us, we were forced to move house on 4 (!) occasions, and there were multiple instances of our daughter being ill, or other domestic emergencies arising. Alaine was unfailingly a reliable and trustworthy source of strength and consistency during these times. We honestly do not know how we would have managed without her. She went above and beyond the call of duty on multiple occasions and did so ensuring that the impact on our daughter was minimal.

Our daughter really loves Alaine. It is clear that our daughter trusts her, feels comfortable with her and is close to her. It is clear to us as parents that Alaine always looks after her beautifully, with the utmost respect and fun! She also loves Alaine’s cooking, so much so that the phrase “Alaine’s muffins!” is one we often hear.

Alaine is a very active person. She used her own experience in sports, especially swimming, to great effect with our daughter. The two went swimming together each week, and when there some delay to our daughter's gross motor skills, Alaine was absolutely superb at helping her overcome these. Indeed, the physiotherapist who treated our daughter made a point of informing us that Alaine was “the best nanny she could hope for” and really understood human movement and what our daughter’s needs were. We would also regularly receive complimentary reports about Alaine and her interaction with our daughter from parents who saw them at baby classes, for example.

During Alaine’s employment with us from November 2021 to April 2023, our daughter reached several important milestones. Alaine, with her experience, was able to guide us through these, and was always on hand to provide useful and knowledgeable advice. Our daughter became a very verbal child, speaking in full sentences at an early age. We believe that is in considerable part due to Alaine’s influence on her, and the way in which she spoke to her, read to her, joked with her and played with her.

Alaine is also a very kind and warm person. Over the time we employed her, she became a member of our family. We will be extremely sad to see her leave and hope to remain in contact with her in the future. We wish to assure you that you can hire Alaine and be confident that you are hiring an experienced, efficient, punctual, kind and charming nanny, who will look after your child with the utmost professionalism and warmth.

Amazing and reliable Nanny

Alaine was our nanny for almost 3 years. Looking after our son from 7 months old then twins arriving when he was 2, she looked after all 3 children amazingly and slotted right into the family dynamic. In fact, Alaine only had to move on to her new role as we were relocating to a different county. That said Alaine is still a big part of our life and we and the children love seeing her on visits and regular FaceTimes!

She is a very professional nanny. Has an incredible amount of experience, always keeping on top of her relevant paper work and training such as first aid, nutrition, child development etc.

She is also extremely organised and efficient at getting things done and loves getting children outdoors in the fresh air, exploring local parks, doing lots of interesting and fun activities for all ages at home and finding the best baby or toddler/preschool groups. This was fabulous as it ensured our son had a lovely little friendship group before he started preschool and each day was varied, creative and fun! A few months after our twins came along it was time for our son to start preschool so she helped settle him into this new routine. She also provided a great sense of stability for him when I was deep in the trenches of looking after two newborns. She noted how tired I was at times and would swap over looking after the newborns, so I could get out of the house and spend some one on one time with my son. It was such a huge help to know she was here helping to guide us through this big change.

Alaine is super with babies, very adept at weaning and keeping up with appointments for medical stuff etc. Also great with older children she has a natural sense of fun and all kids seem to gravitate towards her. That said she is very good with boundaries and makes sure she herself is rested and healthy to keep going with what is a demanding job. The next family to snap her up will be very lucky!
