About Me

I have 30 + years post qualifying experience working with children and families, thirteen of which
have been as a nanny. As an experienced, confident and caring nanny I understand that every
family is unique and pride myself on my flexible approach and ability to fit in around the
dynamics of a busy household. I understand the importance of working together as a team to
ensure a happy, secure and consistent household in which children can thrive and am willing to
get stuck in wherever necessary.
I believe in a child led and gentle parenting and my approach to nannying reflects this. I am
confident when it comes to organising fun and engaging activities in line with a child’s age and
stage of development, my nursery background comes into play here! I enjoy
cooking healthy meals from scratch and am used to batch cooking as well as supporting
children explore new foods.
I believe communication between the nanny and parents is key so I keep a ‘nanny diary’ for
parents to read through at the end of the day or have a Whatsapp group so we can keep
eachother in the loop. I have worked in some very busy households and worn many hats which
doesn’t phase me at all!
I can offer additional expertise in sleep coaching, potty training and behaviour/positive parenting techniques.
I am open to temporary/ad hoc roles as well as overnight stays and proxy parenting.
Outside of work my interests include swimming, running, attending classes at the gym, water
sports, camping, mountain biking and snowboarding. I love to keep fit and active and love the
outdoors. I also enjoy reading, music and cooking.
