My Summary

My Experience

My first experience of working with children was in a childrens care home in Norwich, my role as care worker involed the following

Waking the children up
encourage the children and teach them how important hygiene and taking care of them selves was- this helped them to get themselves ready for the day
Preperation of a healthy breakfast
Support getting the children to the learning centre along with encouragement to remain in learning or the day
Healthy lunch preperation
planning of activities
Deep cleaning of the house, childrens rooms, bathrooms, commual areas
Preperation of healthy evening meal
Playing educational and fun games with the children- keeping them engaged at all times
Emotional and physical support

After this role I went onto working as a nanny full time in a Norwich home

Here I worked 40 hours a week caring after two boys aged 6 and 8 (when i started)

My role was nanny/housekeeper

My main responsibilities caring for the boys were as follows

Waking the boys up
preparing a healthy breakfast
help getting ready for school
ensuring school bag were packed with lunches, pe kits and homeworks
drop off at schools

Then during the day I would clean
ironing
hoovering
dusting
deep cleaning
liasing with works men
laundry
beds
general cleaning

School pick up
Play, educational and fun
Help with homework
Prep of a healthy dinner
baths

Unfortunatly I had to leave my first nanny role as my families circumstanes changed resulting in a change in my hours therefor I had to find alterntive work I then found myself looking after two girls aged 10 and 12 my role if very similar to my previous role.

For personal reasons I am no longer working for my previous family and I am now working full time hours for my current family. My role is similiar to my previous roles. I shall state my current working hours in my availabilty

First aid- due to attend course on saturday 16th February
NCFE CACHE LEVEL 1 AWARD IN CARING FOR CHILDREN

My Availability

My current working hours are as follows

Monday 7:30-8:30/9:00
Tuesday 7:30-8.30/9:00
Wednesday 7:30-8.30/9:00
Thursday 7:30-8.30/9:00
Friday 7:30-8.30/9:00

I also pick the children up from school Monday - Thursday however this changes day to day depending on after school clubs. Its either normal pick up time of 15:30 or when they come out of after school clubs,i then finish until my contracted finish time of 21:00 this varies though depending on mums finish time from work

Ideally I would like more nannying/housekeeping hours inbetween the hours I currently work

I am availble for evening and weekend baby sitting too
