About Me
My name is Claire Wood I am an OFSTED registered childminder in Peak Dale, Derbyshire. I live in a four bedroom end terrace house with my mum.
I have successfully completed the Basic Induction Training For Childminders, a 12 Hour Paediatric First Aid Course and a Food Hygiene Course.
I have an enhanced CRB check, hold Public Liability Insurance, and am a member of the NCMA (National Childminding Association).
I have a back yard and garden where children can play and I offer a variety of outings and activities for children in my care, including swimming, arts and crafts, group activities library visits. We have a park across the road which I will use regularly. We also go to Chatsworth regularly and go on lot's of walks
I have a full driving licence and my car has appropriate child restraints, has current MOT and is insured for business use.
My Experience
Since leaving school I have done placements in schools and nurseries working with children from 6 months to 8 years.
When doing my teacher training my specialism was Early years so most of my placements were in nurseries.
I have been a pre-school supervisor working with a range of children.
I am a rainbow and brownie leader
I have been a private nanny looking after 2 children
