About Me
I am an English Qualified nanny with 20 yrs experience. I class myself as a career nanny. I have been working and living in London for the past 20 yrs working with different families with charges of new born up. Now have moved back to the island where I grew up and live in Cowes with my partner.
I genuinely care for the welfare of the children in my care, helping them to grow into happy, healthy, polite, honest children. I love providing activities and opportunities where they can explore, express themselves, and learn new things. I have been very lucky to have had such wonderful families, becoming a part of the family, and have continued to be great friends with them. Having great communication and a solid bond with the parents is as important as with the children and continuity of care is very important to me. I am extremely honest person and understand how important confidentiality is in working in a home environment.
I enjoy being outdoors, walking, cycling, going to the gym. I love spending time with friends and family, hosting dinner parties etc. I also love the theatre and am a member of two musical theatre companies, and have performed in many shows. I also love to dance.
My Experience
With 20 yrs in childcare I have much experience from newborn's up. From weaning, potty training, establishing sleep routines to encouraging and organising their little social lives. I am a happy cook, and thoroughly enjoy preparing healthy food for weaning and the older child. I have helped with homework and provided many pre school exercises at home while being able to juggle activities for different ages when needed, and have also home schooled through Covid. I have also accompanied many children on family holidays where needed. I am a very confident driver and have driven many different cars with the families I have been with.
