About Me
We are childminders based in Pinxton, both me and my mum co-childmind together. We have been childminding together for nearly 9 years.
We are a play based home from home setting that learn through play. We cover all areas of development taking everyone's interests into concideration. We have a spacious garden and a playroom with lots of resources.
We care very much about the care we provide. We have breakfast at 9, a hot lunch at 12 and an afternoon snack at 3, currently provided free of charge.
My Experience
We both have nearly 9 years experiance in childminding, with our own children, helping in schools.
Elaine has experiance as a foster carer, a nursery assistant, mid day supervisor and working with young disabled people.
My Qualifications
We both are Peadiactric First Aid Trained and have both completed the Derbysbire Basic Induction And Registration Training (childminding). Safeguarding training and numerous courses on development with youch children.
My Availability
price includes meals and school pickups and drop offs.

I chose Amy and Elaine to be our childminder after seeing 20+ different nurseries and minders. The main reasons for choosing them was the homely environment. Oscar was only 9 months when he started, he is 3 now.
Amy and Elaine have a really lovely manner with all the children in their care. They always seem kind, calm and patient with them and all the children are happy and know what’s expected of them.
Since Oscar has been going to Amy and Elaine’s I’ve been reassured that I made absolutely the right choice. He’s so happy there and really loves playing with Amy's daughter. I’ve been impressed by the variety of toys that they have and that the children don’t play with just gender stereotype toys. They have plenty of days outs as well as planned activities in the home or garden.
I’ve really seen Oscar progress since he’s spent time there. He took his first proper steps there, which was recorded and sent to me. He is now able to read his favourite books and his vocabulary is amazing.
While he’s pleased to see me at the end of the day he’s never desperate to go home and always arrives at Amy and Elaine’s with a smile.
I’ve always felt comfortable to ask questions about Oscar and his day. We use an app, where we can communicate effectively. Oscars progress gets documented by my self, Amy or Elaine.
All in all I would highly recommend our little owls
