About Me

Hello, my name is Rosie. I live in Alton and I've had a close connection with the town all my life. I have two children, who are 13 and 9, who both attend local schools.
I qualified as a childminder in September 2017 and have really enjoyed building up my business.
My setting is cosy and calm and children settle in very quickly with me. I have a large box of toys for free play and lots of planned activities to do throughout the day. We enjoy lots of singing and rhymes, puzzles, colouring and gluing and lots more! Children can chose to play with dolls and prams or cars and trains. It all helps to develop their learning and skills, following the EYFS. I try to go out every day and there are lots of places to take children locally. Anstey Park is on my doorstep or in town we go to regular Groups, museums and the library or for trips on the bus.
When my daughter was little I volunteered at the NCT Happy Daze Group in Alton for over a year. I loved meeting parents and carers with their little ones and help make the tea and tidy up! I still volunteer at NCT Sales and I am also a member of the PTA at my daughters school.
I enjoyed a lovely year (of maternity cover) working at Happy Talk Nursery where I learned so much more about looking after young children, helping to develop their growing personalities and the importance of learning through play. As a childminder, over the past few years, I have looked after many young babies and its been amazing to watch them grow and walk and talk and share those moments with their families!
I provide after-school care and am available for school drop offs and pick ups from Alton Infants and Anstey Juniors.
I am a member of PACEY.
**Since the Covid 19 outbreak I have updated and adapted my policies and practices to adhere to Government guidelines. I have had further training in Hygiene standards, how to prepare my setting after the closure and Infection Prevention and Control.
