Dear family,
I am writing this letter to introduce myself to you. My name is Alexandra and I'm 33 years old. I moved from Italy to London eight years ago.
I' ve worked for the same family based in North-East London for four years, but unfortunately after the pandemic started, they moved to the countryside and I could not relocate with them.
At the time they were 3 and 7 years old (when I started). In the 4 years that I worked for them we grew together and I tried to satisfy all the kids needs:
-cooking lunches and dinners;
-picking them up/bringing them to school
-homework;
-organizing playdates etc;
-working occasionally on weekends or in the evening, I' ve also been traveling with them abroad for a business trip, and I took care of both when the parents went away for a weekend.
I am currently working for another family in London since the beginning of 2021.
The little girl that I’ m taking care started school this September and later on they will only need a part-time nanny.
We mutually agreed that I will finish working for them in December 2023 to give the little one a softer transition from nursery to school.
I studied accounting and languages when I was in high school (English and French).
I've always been attracted to foreign languages and different cultures in the world. From August 2013- to April 2014 for 9 months I was an au-pair in Dublin.
This was one of the most intense and magic experience of my life, I grew up, become independent and reached some of my individual goals. My responsibilities were to have full charge and care of 3 childrens (5R -11M-12E) while the parents were at work, to take the little boy to and from school and ensure he got there in a timely manner; took an extra responsibility in the house when required to look after the children in the evening when the parents were out. Menwhile I was there, I did an exam at the UCD University to improve my English.
In Italy I also spent 3 months in a summer camp where I played with children, ate with them and helped them with their homework. There were children from 3 to 14 years old, I organised open air and indoor games.
In my free time, I love being outdoors, discovering new places, cooking, reading and traveling.
My natural love for children and responsible attitude is what deems me as a suitable candidate for this job. I am an honest girl, and I have more than 10 years of experience of taking care of children ranging from the age of 1 to 14 years old. My proficiency in cooking food and running errands will be a real asset for your family.
Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid, DBS check, non-smoker and I have references. Thank you for you time and considerations.
