My Experience

I am a dedicated and experienced Child Carer. My previous roles have included an Acting Deputy Manager position within a private day nursery in Windsor, Berkshire and five permanent private Nanny roles over ten years. I have also worked on an ad-hoc basis, providing ad-hoc, part time and emergency childcare for families.

“We found Emma after we had tried a nursery for 11 months and since that time we have never looked back. I only wish I had made the move to a Nanny sooner.
Having that special someone who really invested in our child was the difference she needed and she has blossomed under Emma’s care. Emma took on our family values immediately, always being mindful of the way we wanted to raise our daughter. She was happy to maintain our routine, whilst making helpful suggestions when talking through parenting conundrums that cropped up from time to time.
My daughter has never been relaxed around strangers before but Emma was so warm and friendly that she instantly warmed to her and now they have such a beautiful bond.
Somehow Emma seems to get the balance just right; soft but firm, fun whilst instilling values. She is full of ideas of how to use household objects, toys and art supplies to support learning through play. When that’s done there is always the outside to explore or a park or farm to visit. The days are packed full of adventures and because of Emma has an excellent understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage, she has kept an eye on my daughter’s developmental milestones.
Emma is punctual and flexible and very mindful that she is working within our home. She makes sure all the toys are put away and leaves everything tidy and as she found it, which is so helpful after a long day at work!
Emma is honest and trustworthy and it was such a nice feeling knowing that my daughter was safe and happy when I went off to work. What’s also been wonderful is seeing all the things that Emma and my daughter have been up to. Emma communicates her plans for the day clearly and documents all exciting adventures through pictures and videos.
We will miss Emma when she moves to Scotland but with her new found confidence, I feel my daughter is now ready for preschool. She just needed more time to find her own way, away from the chaos of nursery. If you need that person to nurture your child, I’m sure Emma will be the perfect person for you”

My Qualifications

National Diploma Childcare and Education, Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding, Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), Food Hygiene and training in many developmental matters. PVG Disclosure certificate.
