About Me
I am an Ofsted registered childminder with over 14 years experience in childcare. I have worked in nurseries and as a nursery manager for over 12 years therefore know how important it is that children are cared for in a warm, welcoming and safe environment. I have experience in age appropriate planning within the EYFS, special educational needs and providing healthy balanced meals.
My Experience
Since having my own little boy in October 2015, I wanted to get away from the office and get back to doing what I love the most and that's caring for children and supporting their development. I take working alongside parents very seriously and aim to create strong relationship and with the families I work with.
Due to my background, my setup is very similar to that of a nursery, I have dedicated converted double garage (mini nursery) and complete individual learning journals for each child, but the bonus is that ratios will be a lot lower, the environment is a home from home feel and we take many trips to experience different surroundings and follow childrens interests where possible.
I had my most recent Ofsted Inspection in Febraury 2019 and recieved Outstanding which I'm incredibly proud of.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.50 per hour
Full day rates at £55 (8-6)
Half day rates at £27.50 (8-1 or 1-6)
After school care £5.50 per hour
Additional £2.50 for hot, home cooked evening meal, served at 5pm.

Bex and Megan do an absolutely wonderful job looking after our 2 year old son Charlie. He loves his days with Bex, Megan and the other children. They pack the day full of fun activities and get out and about, taking the children on regular walks, playing in the garden and occasional day trips.
It's such a homely setting and the children are very well looked after with nutritional meals and snacks throughout the day. Bex also gives regular updates through the day on a childcare app, meaning we always get to see what Charlie's been up to, what he's eaten and when he napped - which is a nice distraction from the working day.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Bex and Little Orchards Childcare to anyone looking for a nurturing environment, which mixes a fun and homely setting with a nursery like set up (with a dedicated playroom full of activities) and a great team. Thanks for all you do!

My daughter attends Little Orchards Childcare and is absolutely thriving! Bex provides a warm, comfortable, happy setting for all the children. Olivia felt at ease from her very first session and going there has become a highlight of her week! Bex provides a fun, stimulating and exciting environment where fun and development go hand in hand! I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Bex (and her staff) to anyone! We are provided with updates during the day on what our children are up to and are sent photos which is such a lovely and reassuring thing to do! Evening meals are always nutritious and delicious. The best childcare provider in the area! 5 ⭐️

Our eldest started with Bex 3 years ago and has thrived in her care. It's the perfect mix of nursery and small setting care. As Bex has been a nursery manager the set up at her house is just like a mini nursery with the added bonus of more attention for your child, ability to adapt to your child's specific interests and great trips out on the fun bus (Bex's people carrier)!!!
When it was time for our youngest to access childcare it was a no brainer for him to also go to Bex. We receive regular updates about what they are up to, both daily and in their overall development.
We leave our boys with Bex in the complete confidence and knowledge that our boys are loved, well cared for and stimulated.

Iv sent both my boys to little orchards and they both love it my eldest who is now at school wants to go there for fun. I would recommend 100%
Bex does loads of lovely activity’s you suite the kids ages.

My son goes to little Orchards and the bond he has with Bex is wonderful. I feel totally at ease leaving him in her care whilst I go to work.
They do fantastic activities which we are unable to do with him at home and his speech since being with Bex and the other children has come on leaps and bounds.
We are also sent pictures and messages throughout the day of what he's been up to and the trips they have taken. This is a lovely thing that brightens my day.
