My Summary
About Me
• Available ONLY for temporary positions (until the end of October, as I will be working another ski season from November) •
•Currently available for babysitting after 6:30pm weekdays•
My name is Katie, and I am a sole charge nanny. I currently live in Molesey, and have previously nannied in Esher/Oxshott & Thames Ditton. This has resulted in me finding lots of different classes/playgrounds around the local area!
I have my own car, and clean driving licence, along with a paediatric first aid certificate (which I keep up to date), clean DBS check, and I can proudly say, I am now level 3 Child Care qualified.
I have 4 years sole charge nannying experience (with the same family), plus adhoc nannying for additional families.
As well as 4 years nursery experience (at two different nurseries). Both as a practitioner as well as a room leader role!
I have experience proxy parenting/providing overnight care for children within their own homes whilst parents are away.
I have recently worked a Ski season for a luxury chalet company as a nanny, both within their childcare setting, as well as privately in the families chalets.
I am a very active nanny, who likes to be out and about daily.
I pride myself in being very reliable and honest!
I am looking for a full time position, with a lovely family! Ideally 34-40 hours per week, over 4-5 days. This can be discussed for the right, lovely family!
My Experience
I began my Childcare journey back in 2016, working at a nursery, which gave me the realisation that working with children was the career path for me!
I thoroughly enjoy that every day is different, and being able to watch the children grow, and seeing the little twinkle within their eyes when they master a new skill, is a feeling like no other.
Whilst working at the nursery, I was able to care for babies from 5 months, until 4 years of age.
In 2018, I was offered a position nannying, for two, absolutely amazing children, which I cared for until they both began full time school. During those 4 years, I ensured the children had age appropriate stimulating activities to enjoy both inside the home, as well as outdoors. From science experiments, messy play activities, to nature walks (pond dipping, feeding the ducks, bug hunting), farm visits, soft play trips and woodland adventures searching for the Gruffalo, we were all excited for what the next day would bring!
In 2021 I was offered a position at a new nursery, which is incredible, and has enabled me to complete my level 3 Childcare qualification, which I can proudly say, I am now officially qualified!
Whilst working within the nursery setting, I have made lovely bonds with the children, and will truly miss seeing their achievements, and joining in their imaginative games, however, I do miss the freedom which nannying brings.
I believe children learn best through first hand experiences, and whilst we are zooming around on scooters, or feeding the ducks, we are also learning about the world around us. Learning about the seasons, or practicing our colours looking at the falling leaves, learning numbers counting the passing cars.
In 2024 I was able to experience working in the French Alps as a ski nanny, providing exceptional childcare, ensuring the children had a wonderful holiday, creating lots of life lasting memories. All whilst reassuring the parents by sending lots of lovely updates of what we were up to daily, allowing the parents to have a great worry free holiday. I cared for babies from 11 weeks of age, to children 12 years old.
It really is true, “if you find a job you love, you’ll never have to work again”.
