About Me
Hi my name is Amy and I'm an Ofsted registered childminder. I love being with children. I love to help them develop and grow and find this a rewarding experience. I follow the EYFS standards as well as providing a home from home environment. I was born in the North of England and moved to Letchworth 18 years ago. I met my husband 17 years ago and we have been married for the past 7 years. We have a beautiful little boy, Jacob, who is now 4 years old and a baby girl who is now 1.
My Experience
I studied performing arts at university and I have spent much of my career working within the theatre industry, My husband is also a musician and as well as following the EYFS standards, we also use drama and music at home with the children. Drama is a great way to encourage children's confidence and socialising. We also introduce children to a variety of instruments and cover basic music theory with them. I have also worked with children throughout my career, whether it be my work experience at school, through touring productions and workshops, as a teaching assistant and working with children at the pantomime, Imagine Watford Festival and developing teenagers during their own work experience.

Amy looks after my son after school and he really enjoys his time there. Amy genuinely loves working with children and is so patient and caring with him. He has loads of fun there doing creative, interesting activities, trips to the park, exploring musical instruments. Amy is also really good at helping out with homework and tailoring activities to support the school curriculum and his own particular interests. I would highly recommend Amy without hesitation.

Amy is a wonderful childminder and my son adores the time he spends with her. She has boundless energy and finds a variety of fun and creative activities throughout the day that includes painting, music, messy play and dance. They also regularly attend local playgroups to ensure much needed socialisation and visit local parks for picnics and lots of space to run around in. Amy takes an active interest in my son's development and chooses age appropriate activities to aid his speech and development of movement. She has even managed to get my very fussy eater to enjoy nutritional home cooked food. Amy makes Samuel feel like a member of her beautiful family and I can see that he feels loved and secure when he is with her. I would not hesitate to recommend her.
