My Experience

Several previous nannying roles. After my A-Levels I had sole charge of a 6 month girl for 1 year (as a job to earn money before I went travelling!) After returning home after my 5 months of travel they offered me a job again with then sole charge of 2 children. I still am in regular contact with this family and the 6 month old girl is now a girl of 5! I look after them usually once or twice a month sole charge. I've been employed within a mothers help role of 4 children (with twin 2 year olds!), have been employed via Halo Staffing and completed employment at a children's care home.

Completed 6 month work placement in a private nursery and have volunteered at a children's sports camp.

Most recent role has been employment with a professional family, sole charge of 2 girls (2 & newborn)

-English In Early Childhood which was Developed by the British Council and recognised by Early Years Excellence. I was able to further understand learning through play such as the importance of play and developing language through play.

Through this course I was able to understand aspects such as risk assessments, reasons why a child may be seen as vulnerable, key concepts of child development, various different theories and theorists and communication with children too.

5 modules completed with certificates. an online programme of English in child development, attended a first aid course and have also completed a paediatric first aid course!

My Qualifications

GCSE's: Achieved A in English Language, B in Maths, B in Science. Alongside Geography, History, Art and PE. A-Levels (psychology, sociology and textiles), B,B,C. I was offered a place at Norland College in bath for 2018, however declined and chose Psychology.
