About Me

* LOOKING FOR A FULL TIME POSITION AVAILABLE FROM 11th NOVEMBER*

My name is Chloe Titchener, I am 26 years old and a qualified level 3 early years educator. I am currently a live out nanny in West dulwich and living in Crystal Palace. I grew up in Bracknell and lived there until I decided to pursue my career in nannying, I was surrounded by my close family. I have always enjoyed going to school and learning new things, I especially enjoyed English and drama at school. I love to read and write, watch films, walking my dogs, family time and socialising with my friends. I believe myself to be a kind, friendly and caring person who is very easy to get on with.

My Experience

I have always been interested in childcare related jobs from a young age as my mum is also in the childcare business. It was always something that I wanted to do and something that came to me naturally. I have babysat from the age of 13, working with various age groups.
I started my level 2 qualification in March 2015 as an apprentice at a busy day nursery. I started off working all around the nursery to see what age group I suited most, I was eventually set in pre-school where I gained confidence in interacting with children and the routine of nursery life. I was then moved to the baby unit (3 months- 2 years) due to staffing, and was in there for just under a year. I worked with the younger babies to the older babies, enjoying the experience with both. After I gained my level 2 qualification I decided to leave for more experience.
I found a job in a local pre-school. I was only there for 6 months, but I really developed my skills in creative activities and my interaction with children grew. After the preschool I moved to another busy day nursery, this allowed me to develop my skills further and this is where I gained my level 3 qualification. Again I filtered around the nursery to gain more experience and to see where I wanted to be, I ended up based in the 2-3 years room; working with this age group helped me gain more experience with toddlers. Although it was challenging at times, I really did love my job and always thrived to help the children learn, love and grow- their needs always come first.
This is where I gained interest in the 'nanny' role, I have always wanted to be independent and being able to choose what the children do, I feel more free to be creative and explore different activities this way. After 10 months of being in the nursery I found myself a temporary nanny job up in Frome.

I started my first nanny role in August 2017 in the lovely town of Frome. I helped look after 3 children, twin girls and a 5 year old girl. This was my first role with lots of hand on experience, although it wasn’t sole charge I gained and developed lots of skills, I learned to cook more, twins experience and general domestic chores. Although I was only in this role for 5 months it widen my experience with children and being a nanny.

I then started my second nannying role at the start of 2018 in Herne Hill London. I looked after two amazing little boys (2 and 11 months at the start) which gave me the experience I needed as a sole charge nanny. I developed my skills further during this role and learnt something new everyday. As I was sole charge of the boys we went on lots of fun trips around London, letting the boys explore, learn and have fun! This role really improved my cooking, I aimed to batch cook a healthy meal every week and give the children varied but healthy meals. Due to the ongoing pandemic I was unfortunately let go.

During the pandemic I temporarily worked (covering permanent nanny due to health conditions) for a lovely family in Sevenoaks, looking after two girls aged 5 and 3. Helping with homeschooling and general nursery duties.

In February 2021 I started a new live in position looking after a lovely 10 month old baby. I developed my experience with babies further during this role.

For the last 3 years, I’ve been working part time in West Dulwich looking after a 6 year old girl and 8 year old boy. I’m responsible for usual nursery duties, including homework for both children. During the school holidays I arrange fun activities for the children.
