About Me
I am a single mum to Kane (age 8). I am looking for someone who can sit with Kane whilst I attend university. Kane has complex needs including being Autistic with pathological demand avoidance, developmental trauma, and sensory and communication difficulties.
My Requirements
I need help 2/3 days a week term time whilst I attend University. I won't know dates or times until the end of August/ beginning of September. Someone with experience with SEN would be beneficial. You must be open minded and be open to doing things differently to traditional childcare roles. Kane will need someone who can let him lead interaction and who respects his autonomy. Kane will likely just be watching TV and playing his Xbox so your role will mostly be to meet his basic needs and to slowly build a child led relationship. Must be OFSTED registered and have a DBS. Being able to be paid through a childcare grant would be a huge bonus. Thank you.
