About Me
I am 42 years old and married with an almost 7 year old little girl and adult step son.
I have been living in Southampton for almost 14 years with my husband.
I am a honest, hard working and an extremely reliable person, who is also flexible and good at keeping to time schedules.
Since I qualified in my NNEB Diploma I have been working in childcare in various positions. These positions have included-
Private Nurseries as a nursery nurse and room supervisor.
Working in a Mother and Baby Unit in a female prison looking after the prisoners babies and providing support to the mothers.
In the last 12 years I have been working as a private Nanny.
I very much enjoy working with children, helping them to achieve all their goals and developmental targets through a variety of activities, outings and groups within the local community.
My Experience
I have been working in childcare since I qualified in my NNEB Diploma 23 years ago.
I have worked in Private Day nurseries as a Nursery Nurse and also in supervisory roles, caring for the holistic development of the children.
For 4 years I worked in a Mother and Baby Unit within a female prison. I interacted with the mothers daily, helping, advising and caring for the babies while they were working within the prison or attending education.
The babies were aged from birth-18 month.
We had to carry out day to day activities that the mothers were unable to do, for example going to the shops, swimming, library trips and local walks. These activities were just as vital in the babies developments along with the nursery activities.
For the last 12years I have been a Nanny to 3 families (at separate times) looking after and caring for the children and carrying out nursery duties.
