About Me

I currently have a full time job, my availability is OCCASIONAL babysitting on some weekdays and weekends.
(for example no contract or set dates for every weekday/weekend, just an occasional dates)

Hi my name is Emily,
I am bubbly, patient and very organised nanny. I provide a warm, friendly and fun environment for all children In my care. I plan and organise activities to suit all ages.
I feel it is important to be active and engaging with the children. When in my care I plan the week out by taking the children to classes/parks and soft plays to encourage socialisation and development. I follow early learning guidelines and aid children in their physical, mental and emotional developments.

I have 11 years experience working with children, ageing from 0-16years.
I began my career working as a nanny, then progressed onto working as a room leader in a private day nursery. I have work for many agencies in a wide variety of different nurseries. Running a parent and child class. Following on to a Ofsted nanny.

I am ofsted registered, up to date enhance DBS check, safeguarding and first aid.
I have a clean driving licence.
I am fully qualified Level 2 in Early Years.

I currently have a full time job, my availability is occasional babysitting late evenings weekdays and full days weekends.

Please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss what childcare you need.

I AM OFSTED REGISTERED AND INSURED.

My Experience

Employment history

Senior nursery practitioner- Chatterbox day nursery Sidcup, 2014-2017

I started training at chatter box in 2014, once I gained level 2 childcare in 2015 they offered me a job as a room leader. My responsibilities included daily team briefings to ensure all team members were working towards the goals correctly. I would also follow the nursery policies, regulations and safeguarding. In addition, I was required to complete complex paperwork, with strict deadlines to ensure continual safe-running of the nursery.

• Room leader,
• Organizing staff,
• Following EYFS,
• Planning activity schedules,
• Helping children reach their EYFS targets,
• Caring for children (nappy changing, putting to sleep, feeding)
• Caring for children age 3m-4yrs,
• Working in partnership with the children’s parents,

Private Nanny- September 2014 – April 2015

Alongside training for my level 2 childcare, I would pick up a child in the evenings from pre-school, prepare her dinner, play engaging activities, and then prepare for bed. I built a great relationship with the child and parents.

• Pick up/drop off to nursery,
• Developing child’s education,
• Preparing dinner,
• Bath time,
• Bedtime.

Ofsted Registered Private Nanny, 2 different families.
March 2017- September 2019

During my workday I was responsible for planning the best possible care for the children to include education activities that worked to aid development. I would work in partnership with the parents to share important information.

Daily my routine consisted of arriving at the child’s house at 8am, having a handover with their parents by sharing any important information about the child. Once I had prepared and planned the child’s day, we would carry the day out by attending children’s class/soft play/swimming to encourage her development and social skills. We would complete different activities at the child’s home to promote the 7 prime areas of learning of EYFS.

In the afternoon I cared for a second family which involved picking up 2 children from primary school, taking them to clubs/parks on a regular basis. Also, I would prepare dinner and have them ready for bed once the parents had returned home.

• Pick up/drop off to school and nursery,
• Attending activity clubs,
• Preparing lunch/dinner,
• Bath time,
• Preparing for bedtime.

In all my nannying jobs I have built a great relationship with the children and parents who I still regularly contact/meet now. I have enjoyed watching the children grow and develop.

Nursery practitioners (bank staff for agencies)

Throughout the years I have also work for two childcare agencies JBD Recruitment and Link Education (current). They have sent me to numerous nurseries including Graces, Kindred Les Enfants, Rubadubs, Montessori and Crafty Wizard.

Owner of a childcare class
October 2018- march 2020

Day to day running of all aspects of a parent and child group alongside a business partner. We entertain children for 40mins, three times a week with a weekly theme which encourage children’s development through play. We build a great relationship with the parents and children, creating a safe, engaging and educational environment.

Ofsted Registered Private Nanny.
September 2020- February 2022.
Caring for a 2 year old and a 8 year old.

My daily routine consisted of arriving at the children’s house at 7:30/8am, having a handover with their parents by sharing any important information about the children. Prepare breakfast and take the 8 year old to school. Afterwards I would carry the day out with the 2 year old by attending children’s class/soft play/park to encourage her development and social skills. We would complete different activities at the child’s home to promote the 7 prime areas of learning of EYFS.

I would prepare nutritional food and plan meal plans to encourage the children to try new food.

In the afternoon I would collect the 8 year old from school and carry out the afternoon routine with activities, dinner and baths.

Emily took care of my 9 months and 25 months old girls over summer twice a week. They became very attached to her instantly, which was amazing as it happened after the lockdown period when they barely saw anyone outside family. She is responsible, punctual, caring and fun to be around. She organised activities for the children, keeping them entertained inside and outside the house. I could see my girls progressing under her care, such as standing up confidently, joining games and signing for songs (the younger one) and language development, motricity and regaining confidence outside the house for the elder one. Most important, our girls were always showing huge smiles when Emily was around.
We highly recommend her as a nanny and will ask for her help again for the odd babysitting.

Emily has been looking after my baby for one day a week for the past few months and she has been great. She is very reliable and playful and cooks healthy things which my baby loves to eat. He lights up when he sees her which is lovely - one very happy baby!

Emily is great! The kids absolutely love her and we have total trust in her ability to look after them. She is really engaging, and can keep them occupied for hours! Although we don’t need a nanny full time, Emily has helped us out a number of times during the day and evening.
We couldn’t recommend her more!

I employed Emily from September 2017 to August 2019, over those two years I can honestly say she became more like a member of our family than a nanny. She is kind, caring and wonderful with the children, E was 4 (now 6) and M was 9 months (now 3) when we originally asked Emily to work for us and she managed them both well. She still babysits for us now as well as seeing her as a friend.

Aside her wonderful abilities with the children she is always on time, responsible and adaptable, she genuinely cares for the children and the children always have a lot of fun with her.

I would recommend Emily to anyone, she is approachable and honest and I trusted her completely, leaving me to work with confidence.

Emily took care of my girls for more than 4 years . My girls are now 5 and 9.

She completely gave them love , security, right initial level confidence. She is very realisable , punctual and girls love her.

She was flexible and supported my work as I could relax the kids were well taken care of.

She kept kids active , self reliant and confident , she is also very calm which really helps.

They miss her a lot , but they are big girls and don’t need nanny anymore.

Will recommend her completely 👌

She is also honest , caring and a positive personality .

Thanks
Anju
