About Me
Hi I’m a registered childminder graded outstanding in my 2005, 2011,2016 and 2022 inspections, I live with my husband and two daughters who are aged 16 and 18 years old who both love sharing their home with the childminding children. I have worked in childcare for over 32 years. I work towards the EYFS and plan all my activities and outings around this, I love being outside exploring with the children I have national trust and RHS membership which we visit weekly we also attend libraries, softplay areas, farms, chessington zoo and various parks and the ecology centre in our area. I have a fantastic play room in my garden and provide lots of different activities which include imaginative play ie- cars and garage, farm set, dolls, play kitchen, dressing up and tents, i have lots of fine and gross motor skills toys including duplo,stickle bricks lego and mecanno. we do lots of art activities/messy play we look at a different topic each month i.e. Seasons, people from around the world,transport etc. in my garden i have a sand pit and water play, a flower and vegetable patch a fairy/insect garden, ride on cars, slide, ball pit, tunnels and tents.
I provide a daily diary for each child so you can see what they have been doing whilst in my care.
I have fantastic references.
I am a devoted child carer who believes that the most important years of our lives are that of our childhood and i feel very priviledged that i am able to be a part of this special time.

My son was originally in a nursery which he hated, I was so lucky to find Nicola - his home from home. Nicola is so caring and it really felt like my son was accepted as part of the family, not just by Nicola but by her lovely daughters as well. My son learnt so much whilst in Nicola's care, it really prepared him for school. He also had the most amazing days out with her, such brilliant experiences that really shaped the person he is becoming. It's been almost a year since my son left and he still talks about Nicola and wants to visit her!

My son has been with Nicola for almost two years now and has been very happy in her care during this time. In fact he has so much fun that he does not want to ever come home. He has come on leaps and bounds in his development especially his language skills and as parents we couldn't be happier. The setting is very engaging and there is a wide range of toys/activities on offer everyday which helps the children to learn. As a teacher myself, I am impressed with how much thought and planning goes into the topics/themes the children learn from and the wide range of experiences the children benefit from. As a lively and physical boy, he really enjoys all the days out at playgroups, soft play, parks and other places that they visit. Communication is excellent and Nicola is always happy to chat at the end of the day to let me know how my sons day has gone. I would highly recommend this childminder. You would not find anyone who is more professional, caring or passionate about their job.

Nicola looked after my children for four years until all three were in full time school. As a mum who found it particularly hard to leave my children to go to work, I was so incredibly lucky to have found Nicola. Her warmth and kindness meant both the children and I felt instantly welcomed and part of her family. We all loved her straight away, particularly my very clingy baby!!!! She was always professional and has extensive knowledge and experience of EYFS. Her setting is beautiful with a large garden and cabin dedicated to fun and learning for the children. My children particularly loved the themed weeks in which they had brilliant experiences making, learning, tasting, and visiting appropriate places. She absolutely deserves her consist Ofsted Outstanding status. She is without doubt an extraordinary childminder and I would whole-heartedly confidently recommend her to anyone who wants the best start 'away from home' for their children.

My children have been cared for by Nicola for about 6 years. They love her! I love her! The children all adore her and consider her home to be their home. She has just been awarded her 3rd outstanding grade in a row and she earns that award in everything she does. She is professional, trustworthy and absolutely wants the best for all of the children in her care. Her home is welcoming and filled with fun. My girls have enjoyed days out at National Trust properties, the beach, parks, farms, basically anywhere that children can enjoy being children, they go. Her garden is lovely, her daughters are lovely, she is lovely. I consider myself and my daughters extremely fortunate to have had her look after them. I can't fault her.
