About Me
My name is Fiona and I live with my Family in a quiet street with no parking restrictions, and it's an eight minute walk to the train station. I have a large patio area and a large garden which includes a trampoline, slide, triple swing, climbing frame and lots of other outdoor toys. I do lots of making, baking, painting, music, story time, going to playgroups & the park, arts & crafts and much more with the children. I enjoy my job very much, and for me knowing that the children are happy makes me happy.
I also cook fresh meals on a daily basis for the children.
I have tropical fish which the children seem to love watching them swimming around in the tank.
My Experience
I have been a registered childminder since 2002, with Ofsted and NCMA
I have new born experience as most of the children I have looked after have been with me from babies, and some of them are still here today.
I do drop offs and pick up from Cranborne school
My Qualifications
I have a cache level 3 in childminding practice, a paediatric first aid in childcare, food hygiene, a safe guarding course,promoting positive behaviour and many more.

I have availability, and the hours I am available are between 7:30am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday

I found Fiona through this website in 2021. I was looking for a local childminder for my daughter who started with Fiona when she was eight months old. Fiona and Vince have been saviours at such a challenging time- my daughter considers them both to be family and I couldn't recommend them more highly. Fiona goes out of her way to communicate with parents, keep them updated and discuss in depth any worries or concerns. She is highly experienced and knowledgeable, always available and I don't know what I'd do without her.

We were recommended Fiona by the nursery we were sending our 3 year old girl to and are so happy we found Fiona! Both my 3 year old and 2 year old girls were looked after by Fiona and her assistant and husband Vince who has a great way with children and both the girls warmed so quickly to Vince too. The girls loved going to Fiona's house from the very beginning. It is obvious that Fiona has a special love for children and the nurturing, loving way she cares for children shines. From home cooked food to doing arts and crafts and being taken on day trips, my girls were lucky to have them as their child care providers. We would get regular updates throughout the day about the girls which was lovely and a wonderful journal of their development. I have recommended Fiona to others and will carry on doing so. Special memories made with her and her lovely family.

Both my son and daughter have spent time with Fiona over the past 1.5 years. She provides a warm and welcoming environment, with great activities to suit every age and ability. My children love spending time with her - leaving happily and returning smiling each time. Fiona has helped me with potty and sleep training support, nothing has ever been too much trouble. She is very caring and attentive, providing good healthy meals and regular reports of their progress. I can't recommend her highly enough.

Fiona has looked after my son for 2 years and I cannot recommend her enough. Since leaving him with Fiona at 10 months old to go back to work I have felt so comfortable and happy with his care. He has absolutely loved every day with Fiona, her time and patience with the children is brilliant, they warm to her so much and her home is so welcoming. My son has never once not wanted to go and each day he leaves happy and well fed. They regularly do different activities and when the times have permitted they visit the local farms, parks and more. Thank you Fiona for being wonderful xx

Fiona had my little boy for over two years and I can honestly say she was amazing with him, he loved going to Fiona he was very happy there and I was very happy with everything, I had never used a childminder before but Fiona was so good with him it made it easier to leave him

From the moment we first met Fiona, I knew we had made the right choice for childcare. Our son took to her immediately and it was lovely to see him so relaxed in her home. It took a lot of the worry away for me when returning to work, knowing that he happy and settled.
Almost two years on, our son still adores Fiona and thinks of her and her family as as part of his own. He talks about them all of the time, which is really important to us because of how much time he spends away from home.
You will not find a more caring childminder than Fiona.
She is very involved in all aspects of the children’s development and wellbeing and has been a huge help to us with many milestones. It’s much more than a job to her, and that’s evident in many of the things she does.
Fiona and her husband take the children out several times a week, and keep us updated regularly with texts and photos. They provide home cooked meals everyday which our son has always loved (even when going through fussy spells at home!).
We cannot give enough praise to Fiona for everything she has done for our son so far. It is truly first class care.

fiona looked after my little boy he was very shy and also didn't like anyone apart from me. He grow to like going to fiona she was very good with him and felt no need to worry leaving him there.

Leaving my two year old with a minder was a worry but my anxieties were dealt with in a very understanding manner by Fiona and hubby. They were also very patient with baby R, kept in regular contact with me throughout the day with pics and updates of her behaviour/eating/sleeping habits. Should I need a minder in the future I will definately come back and I recommend her to anyone in search of a minders in Potters Bar especially for anyone with children at Cranborne.

Fiona is amazing, I knew from the first moment we spoke that I wanted her to care for my little boy.
She is just excellent in every way.
My Little Boy adores her and every morning when we pull up he cant wait to get out of the car and runs in - so that speaks volumes!
Fiona does so much with then children from making things with to them to taking them out. He often comes home with things he has made that day.
My little boy is so happy with her,she cares for my son in the way I would and I trust her a million percent!
Fiona keeps you constantly updated on the days events, eating, sleeping etc.
Having tried other child care with my first child,I really wish I had found Fiona years ago!
Fiona and all her family are so welcoming and friendly, its like home from home for my little boy and I really cant recommend her enough.
If you are looking for someone in this area then look no further as when you first meet Fiona I am sure you will feel the same as I did!

I have used Fiona for both my boys 9&4 over the last year. She made them feel very welcome and settled almost immediately. She had lots of activities for then to get involved in over the summer and they particularly enjoyed going to Willow farm. Dropping and picking up from the local primary was a real help and she is very familiar with the teachers in Cranbourne which meant communication even when we were unable to pickup from school was current.
My younger one absolutely loved playing in the garden
