About Me
Hi my name is Kirstie. I'm 35.
I am going to be coming to the end of my time with the family I am currently with in August 2024 so I am looking for my next family to work with from around that time onwards.
I have nanny share and sole charge experience as well as nursery experience and agency temping across london in nursery and school settings. I also have twin experience.
In my vast childcare experience I have absolutely loved the parents, children and staff I have had the pleasure to have worked with and have kept wonderful relationships with them all. In total over the years I have cared for a vast age range from 3 months to 11 years. My preferred age to work with is 0-5 years as it is the age i flourish with the most I feel I have the most impact on this age group as a whole.
I have been told that at work I am happy, bubbly, loved by all the babies, very creative, very reliable (always early never late and good attendance.)
I am also an excellent cook (formerly a chef) and can batch cook many healthy meals and snacks from scratch I also love to bake.
I live in Charlton but i am willing to commute. I do not drive however I cycle.
My Experience
I am Level 3 Early Years Educator qualified I am also first aid qualified in adult and paediatric levels. I also have a clear and up to date DBS check. (First aid class booked for 26th Jan to be renewed before my current one is out of date!)
I have been left in charge of a team and the children in nursery settings. and have experienced sole care of charges as a nanny.
I have also done some wrap around before and afterschool care here and there but i am very keen in finding a new full time family/family share.
Before working in the outstanding rated nursery I previously worked in I had a job as an agency worker working in nurseries all over South East London for a year. Due to my agency experience I have worked with children of all ages from 6 months to 11 years.
I have brilliant partnerships with all of my parents and excellent relationships with all of the children every morning when I arrive at any job i have had I am greeted with excited greetings and cuddles from the children!
I have excellent development knowledge and I am great at working to strengthen the development of babies and toddlers so they reach their full ability before reaching nursery/school age. Working on a childs development and behaviour is one of my many strengths.
My Qualifications
-Level 3 in Early years education.
-Level 2 in Childcare in education.
- Key skills English, Maths, ICT.
-First Aid Pediatric and Adult.
-Excellent knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). As a result of this i have a great knowledge on a childs development and where they should be at for their age and stage.
-Excellent safeguarding knowledge.
-Have completed training in outdoor play, 1001 days, Attachments, and supporting childrens behaviour.
My Availability
In my previous jobs I worked 8 hour shifts sometimes they could be 11 hours with a day off in the week but this is something that I'm wiling to discuss with the family should I be contacted.
