About Me
I'm originally from Glasgow and have lived in London for the past 23 years. I live with my 24 year old son. I feel, and have been told, that I have a natural affinity with children and they are at the heart of my working practice. I love my job and get enormous satisfaction from seeing children grow, learn and develop in my care. My personal interests are art, theatre and travel and I love to use these interests to inspire the children. I have successfully built up my childminding business and my reputation locally is of the highest regard. I'm very proud of this!
The children have access to a lovely secure garden and we visit local parks,
gardens, woods, the library museum etc...We love being outdoors as well as spending cosy playtimes at home learning new skills, enjoying crafts, stories, games etc...
In March 2011 ,April 2016 & February 2020 Ofsted graded me an 'OUTSTANDING PROVIDER'
My Experience
Whilst training as a Nursery Nurse I spent 2 years gaining both theoretical knowledge as welll as practical based experience through my placements in a Nursey class, Nursery school and a special needs centre.
I qualified in 1999 and I have worked both as a Childminder and Nanny ever since.
I also have a wealth of experience gained from being a Mum myself.
My Qualifications
I am a qualified Nursery Nurse (HNC in Childcare and Education), Childminder and Paediatric First Aider. I have completed courses on drug awareness, safeguarding (child protection), EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage), special needs and food hygiene.
My Availability
I will have a 4 day place available in June 2025 as a result of one of my children moving on to nursery. I am based in SE20.

Lynn is the most brilliant childminder you'll ever find, and having her in our lives has been such a gift to our family. She's looked after both of our children since they were 10 months old, seeing them through to nursery after the age of 3. They are now 6 and 3 years old, and while as parents we do our best, I really credit Lynn for her fundamental role in making them the happy and grounded little people they are today.
Lynn's approach is full of love and care for the children, really honing in on their needs and supporting them emotionally through all the developmental stages in life. Underpinning all this is an absolute professionalism, and years of experience, which shows in her planning of activities for the children, and tailoring themes and play to their age and stage. She communicates brilliantly about what the children get up to, with daily individual write-ups of what they did, ate, their general moods etc. (I honestly don't know where she finds the time!) I really can't think of a better combination of attitude, skills and experience.
On top of this, as a parent with Lynn in your life you have a wise and sympathetic ear to talk through all the parenting problems and questions, and support you through this stage in your own life where things can be new and challenging. Having someone who knows your child, and who wants the best for them and their family has been a vital source of support and joy for all of us. I count my lucky stars that I found her - and you will too!

Both of our children were nurtured in their early years by Lynn. She is compassionate, experienced and a wonderful human. She stretched our children in a fun way and she also prepared them for nursery. Lynn was the first person we left our daughter with overnight. Although our children are now at school Lynn still remains a firm fixture in their lives and is now part of our family. We would fully recommend her services.

Lynn is one of those people you can’t really believe exist until you meet them. She has looked after both our children since they were 8 months and 4 months old, respectively. They are now 6 years and 3 years, and are the little people they are because of the care, love and education they received from Lynn in their early years. Lynn is kind, intelligent, empathetic and highly skilled in the profession of early years childcare. She totally understands and responds to each child and their individual needs, they have all her time and attention from the moment they arrive until the moment they leave.Their days are both structured and fun, with the perfect combination of learning and play. You are kept informed of their time with her through a detailed daily diary, which we now cherish. Lynn is a very special individual and we cannot recommend her highly enough.

Lynn has been looking after my son, Tommy, since he was around 7 months old (currently 22 months). He is extremely happy in Lynn's setting, and we could not be more pleased with the care she provides for our son. Tommy loves going and always has a great time!
With her many years of experience, Lynn has also given us valuable advice on sleep, food, behaviour, and all the other things you know nothing about until they happen. Tommy has learnt so much from being in Lynn's care, and being amongst the other children in her setting. She is always highly organised, proactive, professional, and above all, caring.
I cannot recommend Lynn highly enough— you couldn’t find someone better to care for your child!
