About Me
Hi Quick update to the info below (02/02/2025) ; My partner and myself are currently travelling in UK and Europe since Sept 22 in our motorhome ( currently in Morocco, not in the motorhome though ). We will be back in UK permanently late June 2025 so will be looking for another family who would like an older , experienced and very flexible Nanny .
Before taking on a Nanny role in September 2017 I was in my previous job for 18years ,before that I was working for 8 years alongside adults with learning difficulties and in my late teens working as a Nanny. But my most rewarding job was being a Foster Mum to five wonderful children which led to us adopting our daughter 18 years ago x
When i am back home there is always a pre booked sleepover/ or day out with at least two of my younger extended family. Whats a trip to the beach without making sandcastles or a dog walk without building a den or making cakes and not ending up with more flour on you than in the bowl !!!
Most important to me is that a child feels secure and safe when away from Mum & Dad , at home or out & about with me .
Im hoping theres another family where, a formal childcare qualifications, comes second to my Mum life experiences. Sadly we no longer have our beautiful two labradors, as seen in profile photo as both passed away in the last 5 yrs , so a family with pets would be a bonus .
My Experience
Since Sept 2017 ,when i joined a family found on Childcare.co.uk, I have loved being a part of and including their daughter in our combined families. Upto when my partner and myself started travelling full-time in September 2023 , i worked morning & after school plus stepped in where mum needed me in all school holidays and overnights when Mum had to work away .We are now in 2025 and the not so little girl ( 12yrs old now ) is still a huge part of my family and whenever we are home is the first to stay over !
My Qualifications
I have completed a St Johns paediatric course and achieved a grade b in GCSE maths in 2018 . Which now means I'm treated as a 24hr maths helpline !
Due to previously being a foster parent I have completed the fostering programme and went on to foster , mostly, under 10s.
