About Me
NO SPACES AVAILABLE….
Hi I'm Sharon & I live in a nice size 3 bed house in Milton with my husband & daughter. I have a separate playroom with various toys, books, musical instruments & space for small ride on toys, soft play, ball pit, tent & tunnel. Off this room is a large kitchen which gives children space to move between the two & also to use for craft activities & eat lunch, this also leads out to a good sized slabbed garden with sand/water play & pool in the warmer weather, slide, swing, seesaw & ride on toys. I have lots of indoor/outdoor toys stored in the shed to change around with. I have a happy family life married to Geoff for 33yrs & have 3 children ages 30, 27, & 23, two which have already flown the nest. I also have 2 Granddaughters & a Grandson. We are a smoke free home but have a very nervous 11 year old small dog who we've had since a puppy & has always been like this especially with strangers & will bark lots first of all but is fine once she knows you & is always supervised around the children & she actually gets excited when she knows they are arriving.
I am a happy, fun, reliable, easy going and a very honest person and I'm happy to take children to parks, beaches, libraries, local groups/soft play etc. I love the outdoors even if it's just to go for a walk & get some fresh air or for sand/water play in the garden. I let children choose the toys for free play but encourage to tidy up before getting the next ones out. I'm a strong believer in child lead play to keep them more engaged & to do indoor activities of arts & crafts, chalks, play dough etc based on their interests. I like to teach manners to be polite & to respect others & things around them.
My Experience
I have always worked with children, firstly with babysitting in my teens & then work experience in a nursery & was offered a job there as soon as I finished school. I then went on to become a Nanny for 6 different families & was then asked to go back to work at the nursery which I did up until 2 months before having my 1st child, which in total was my first 10yrs in caring for children. I then became a childminder for a Mum I'd met at antenatal classes when both our children were two. I then had my 2nd & 3rd child and was a full time Mum for 20 yrs but use to help out in my children's classes & on school trips. I went back to part time work in the school kitchens serving the children their dinners & then decided to pursue my passion of looking after children again which is when I became a Nanny again back in August 2017 for 3 children, one aged 3 yrs & 11 month old twins who I was with until they moved away at the end of July 2020 but they left a lovely review on here so please have a read. I decided to do childminding once they told me they were moving house & due to 2 hours of travelling to & from work so started the process to become a Childminder back in September 2019 & started this role with my first little one at the beginning of August 2020.

Our daughter has thrived with Sharon, always so excited to see her, has lovely adventures out in the local area and we really felt like she was being looked after by a family member.
We are sad to leave and are only doing so because we have moved away.
We would not hesitate to recommend Sharon.
Sharon was the first childminder I left my 1 year old with, sceptical of how she would stay without her parents being a pandemic baby and only ever seeing her parents around, but Sharon’s warmth and loving nature made it so easy. Firstly, Sharon was very kind to offer to help with childminding for a couple of months due to our dynamic living condition, very adjusting and I did not have to worry about my little one while trying to sort out my house logistics. Sharon also gave me timely updates of Elie, how she was settling, what she was doing and that always kept me at peace. She taught Elie how to eat independently and Elie always looked forward to going to Sharon’s which says a lot. I am very thankful to Sharon for giving Elie and me such a pleasant experience and if we would not be moving home and would always have kept my daughter with Sharon, without a doubt. I highly highly recommend Sharon!
Sharon has been our nanny for 2.5 years and the kids bonded with her from day 1. She really enjoys her work and her calm and friendly nature reflects on the children. Sharon is always smiling and takes even the biggest multi-tasking challenges in her stride. She is very organized, clean and tidy.
