About Me
My name is Parthenopi Yiasoumi (but everyone calls me Bobby). I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder. I had an Ofsted Inspection in May 2021 and I have been rated as 'Good In All Areas'.
I live with my husband, son and our rescue cat Pepsi in Hertord. I offer services as a full time Childminder. My home is only 10 minutes walk from Hertford North Train Station.
I have a variety of fun resources, toys and equipment (Such as Toy Cars, Farm Animal Toys, Food Play Sets, Multi Cultural Dolls, Duplo and construction toys, a sandpit and Creative and Craft Materials).
I have a lot of Montessori experience and a good understanding of the EYFS. With this knowledge I aim to promote a fun educational environment that helps each child reach their full potential. I am an English Born Greek Cypriot and I also teach the children in my care basic Greek if this is something that they would enjoy learning.
Aside from the above I am also a Creative, Artistic person and love to do Arts and Crafts projects with the children.
As part of my service I provide a nutritious balanced Breakfast, Lunch and Afternoon Tea.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
I offer the goverment funded place for 3 to 4 year olds (for anyone who qualifies).
MY CHARGES=
£6.50per hour normal rate between 7am to 6pm.
Extra time after 6pm is negotiable depending upon my availability.
I also offer Evening and Weekend Babysitting if I am available (£12 per Hour).

Our little girl has been with Bobby for about a year, since we moved to the area, and we hope to stay until she goes to school. Bobby is so great with the children and our daughter absolutely adores her. There’s all sorts going on through the day from educational play to park visits and at the end of each day Bobby texts with an update on what they’ve been up to, how she’s eaten and what’s been going on in her nappies! Our little girl chats non stop about Bobby, her husband Johnny, Pepsi the cat and all the children in her care in the evenings and weekends, which goes to show how much she enjoys it and loves them all - it really is a second home for her. We often joke that our daughter has three parents and we couldn’t be happier that Bobby is the third! We feel so lucky to have found Bobby and would recommend her to absolutely anyone.

My 26 month old girl has been with Bobby just over a year now and we are very sad to have to leave her care due to change in family needs . We had imagined our daughter being with Bobby through to starting school. Bobby has a wonderful temperament, calm, gentle and kind. Bobby’s patience and commitment to support our daughters (initially) very tricky sleep, separation anxiety, and sensitivity due to lack of time spent with other babies during first year of her life in the pandemic was outstanding. Bobbys attitude and practice during the covid outbreaks has been excellent, ensuring everyone has always been as safe as possible, being very careful and following up to date advice. Her environment is clean, and, importantly feels like a calm homely environment. I think there is good choice for the children and she properly plays and engages with them in a fruitful and genuine way. My daughter’s language , numeracy and social skills have advanced well and she has been a happy child when I pick her up at the end of the day. We will miss her.

My 1 year old started with Bobby during the Covid pandemic so it was quite a challenging time for all. Bobby went above and beyond to settle our little girl with plenty of settle sessions and our little girl was relaxed and loved it from the start. Bobby is very gentle, kind and calm. She is also very professional. We have been extremely satisfied with the care she provides. Our little girl loves going - she has been learning lots and gets out and about for walks. The setting is very clean and the sleeping arrangements were a big plus for me over a nursery and as a result our little girl sleeps very well there. I know Bobby is extremely attentive to her needs and really supports her development - the language she has developed is amazing and I know she gets up to a range of activities both indoors and outdoors. She is always very happy at the end of the day with Bobby and always excited when we go there.
I cannot recommend Bobby as a child minder enough - your little ones will be in very good hands. She came highly recommended to us by a number of people and definitely did not disappoint. Unfortunately we are moving out of the area - we wish we could take Bobby with us because of the fantastic bond she has created with our little girl and the service she has provided us.

Bobby has been great with our little one! She helped with everything we needed and made transition from our home to hers as smooth as possible. She saved the day when we were struggling to find childcare that would work for us and our boy. Our boy has loved going to her. Bobby is kind, caring and a calm presence! Unfortunately, we have to say goodbye due to changes in our work commitments, but we couldn’t recommend Bobby more!

Bobby has been childminding my son R (3 year) since Jan 2018. She looks after him for 4 days each week.
I have been happy with the care R has received, and the progress he has made whilst in Bobby’s care. Bobbys’s home is always welcoming, clean and well organised . Bobby has no trouble in gaining R’s confidence and therefore encouraging good behaviour and kindness and compassion to others, both skills which are important to us at home. When R steps outside his boundaries, she responds with firm but kind discipline explaining what we would like to see in terms which he understands. In particular, Bobby has been really supported R to start writing, learn the alphabet, numbers to prepare for Reception.
All in all I am happy with the level of care R receives and I’m certain that being in such a positive and happy environment is helping him develop into a confident and self-assured little boy.
I would absolutely recommend Bobby as a skilled early years educator and reliable childminder.

Bobby has been amazing with Ariana and so happy I have found her from this site. She is very caring, her house is clean and felt like my little one was moving from home to home. Since she has been with Bobby, the words have improved and now understands sharing a bit more. I didn’t feel comfortable with putting her in a nursery yet so it was ideal with Bobby as it’s a small group and my baby gets looked after really well. Thank you Bobby

Bobby is a fantastic find! We were recommended her from a neighbour who's little boy Bobby looked after.
After an initial visit to Bobbys home, she made us feel welcome and relaxed and more importantly our son was extremely happy to be there and took to Bobby straight away.
Our son settled in to Bobbys setting easily and eats and sleeps well and loves the variety of activities he does during his time with Bobby.
Our son loves it that much he doesn't seem too interested in coming home when we go to collect him!!
Couldn't recommend her enough.

Our daughter was 2.5yrs when she started with Bobby so was quite timid due to the new environment but she settled swiftly and adored the routine and structure of the day. Within a week or two Bobby was mirroring her normal routine and she was really settled.
Bobby is really attentive to supporting their learning and takes time every day to help support them with new skills and information. Her setting is great for young children and caters well for babies and toddlers alike. I’d 100% recommend her to anyone looking for childcare in the area.

A process that can be very daunting, especially after an extended period of time at home with my son. But was made so easy by Bobby, who made the first initial contact. I was attending interviews at the time, so no secured employment however Bobby still suggested a play date to test the waters. Just from that first initial meeting I knew that I'd found someone who I'd feel happy and trusted to look after my son. Bobby has vast experience in looking after young children, her knowledge of the key, early years foundation stages and curriculum were evident. She provided examples of weekly menu planning and itinerarys of a typical day. Fast forward to January 18 and my son has now been with Bobby for two months and he's having a fantastic time! He wakes up everyday asking if he's going to see Bobby today and when it's time, he can't get out the house quick enough! Quite often he doesn't want to leave when it's time for pick up. Most recently she's supported us in toilet training to ensure continuity and a 'home from home' experience. Thank you Bobby. Our little boy is so happy, which makes us as parents, very happy!

Our little boy had been in nursery from 7 months but we were very unhappy with the care he was getting. He wasn’t sleeping because it was so noisy and coming home absolutely exhausted at the end of day. After just one week with Bobby we noticed such a difference in his development and he was back to having long naps in the afternoon and was in excellent spirits when we picked him up. Bobbys experience as a deputy- nursery manager really shows. She is very dedicated to the children in her care learning through play and each day she would write about what he had being doing in his own book that we could take home-whereas at nursery they would practically just throw him at us at the end of the day and mumble things. Our little boy absolutely loves Bobby and he squeals with excitement each time we are walking up to her door and there really isn’t much more than we could ask for from a childminder.
